Vehicle Detail

Here is a wonderful 1963 Riviera, I recently bought this from the 2nd owner, and he had owned it since 1967. It is a southern California car. It was last registered in 1976 and still has the cars original black plates on it showing 76 tags. The title is California and is the 2nd title that was issued in 67. My plans with this car........I was going to just repaint it and cover the seats and have a nice cruiser to drive. The more I look at it, the more I think it just needs to be fully restored and made perfect, and why not with such low miles. This is obviously my opinion. I have way to many other projects and deals to do this car the way it really should be. You buy it and do as you please. Alright, the details of the car itself. This car is about as complete as it gets, the only thing that I can honestly say is missing is the horn bar for the steering wheel. The only thing not stock is the radio, I wish it was stock, but it has a JcPenney brand 8 track and it even came to life when I hooked the battery up. the only things I have added are a new battery, some roller tires, and a radiator cap. This one has the larger 425 nailhead, and it came right to life with almost no effort. The original twin turbine automatic also engaged into gear just like it should. The drivetrain has never been apart or out of this car. I actually drove this car out to the trailer myself. The brakes do not work! This car has a few options, power windows, air conditioning, remote trunk release, power seats......the trunk release and the windows work for sure, I'm sure the A/C needs work, or at least charged. Never touched the seats. Look at the pics! This car is straight!! and all the trim is there, the left rear quarter trim is off along with the wheel well trim...but it is there and nice! Has the factory T3 headlights, one of the low beams is out, but the rest opperate as they should. According to the old timer I got it from, he did have it repainted (gold) the factory color back in the late 60s, so it has been painted once. The interior has cloth inserts and he kept telling me when it was new it was a pearl color. I would put leather in it, the kits are fairly inexpensive for real leather, and something I just learned.....1963 was the only Riv that could have came with real leather factory! maybe I'm wrong, thats what I was told. As far as rust gos, it looks good to me, there is a spot of bubblies just in front of the left rear tire, see pic. and I am sure around the window rubbers there is going to be deterioration. it did come with 3 hubcaps, 2 match and 1 doesn't, they are all buick and in good shape. Anyway, this is a cool old classic that someone will surely appreciate! DON'T HOLD BACK, THIS IS GOING TO GO CHEAP!!!!! OH, and call me if you have questions. Gary 503.860.4050 I am giving up my shop space, I don't use it or need it any longer. The car can stay indoors, but must be picked up by August 20th. I may be able to store it longer if needed, but it will be outside and not free. NO RESERVE!!!!! you will not find another more complete and original for anywhere near this price. I know a transporter that can take it to Los Angeles (port) for $250.
