Vehicle Detail

Hi, Up for bids is a 1967 Volkswagen Bug. There is an Up Your Bugs body lift, a large portion of the floor pans have been removed and replaced with sheet metal and the baja kit is a one piece flip frontend, wide-eye style. It has a 1973 Transaxle with swingaxles and the engine number starts with a 9. I do not know the actual displacement of the engine. The interior is sparce but nice. There are good high back seats, new floor coverings and all four interior panels are new also. No stereo system but there is a chrome fire extinguisher mounted on the tunnel. Also machined aluminum handles, etc. The body is solid, all of the windows are good and free of cracks, the baja kit has had some ameture repairs but it is useable the way it is. I have had the car for about four years, during this time I have not had it out in the sand or the forest. So, it has not been ran for extended periods of time. Basically just around the house and it has been fired up several times while it has been worked on. During those times it has never leaked or blown any smoke. It has always ran well and seems to be pretty strong with good compression. There are spoked wheels on the front with desert duelers and the rear wheels are widened factory rims with big 13 inch tread. Overall this is a great start for a baja bug, it needs very little work finished to enjoy. Some wiring cleanup, a fresh battery and the brakes finished. The parts to finish the brakes are included. 3 are done with zero miles on them. The plates have not had tags since 2000, there are no heater tubes or seat belts. It could also use a paint job. But none of those things are necessary to play with it offroad. I have a clear Oregon title and keys, since there are no tags it will need to be trailered or towed. This car is being sold in As Is Condition. Any questions? Thanks for taking a look.
