Vehicle Detail
I will try to describe the car as honest as I can but I highly recommend you come out look at it and drive it before bidding. I will run the ad long enough for an inspection. I bought this 1934 Ford on ebay 5 years ago for $31,000. It was an all there, all steel car with an amateur restoration built in the early 90's. The only things fiberglass are the panel covering the gas tank and interior header panel. The panel covering the gas tank had holes where a spare tire must have been mounted. They are filled crudely. The intention was to update it with a complete body-off restoration. However, the car was so reliable and fun to drive, I ended up never getting around to it and instead putting 30,000 miles on it of trouble-free travel from Florida to California. Due to the recession and being in the residential design business, I am reluctantly needing to part with it. This is a no-reserve auction. Good luck bidding. Please call me if you have any questions: Gayle (303) 906-3827 or email me. 1934 frame partially boxed I-beam front axle with disc brakes 8" Maverick open rear with 2.8+/- gears and drum brakes including emergency brake 1933 Ford 5 window coupe body with 1934 hood and grille original grille has been modified with stainless steel bars welded in and painted red steel fenders original, straight bumpers need rechroming new running boards working cowl vent operable windshield, fixed rear glass electric windows electric door safety pins new original stock door latches nice original window garnish moldings secret audio AM/FM + 10 CD changer and 4 Infinity speakers and electric antenna I was in the process of changing the interior from burgandy to red ISS split bench adjustable seat with EasyBoy red vinyl upholstry additional red vinyl pleated material included to finish interior door panels, kick panels and behind seat headliner is very nice burgandy woven cloth White face AutoMeter gauges work perfect Vintage Air heater only Mighty Wiper with burned out motor needs replacing American Torque Thrust D wheels and matching set of Arizonian tires with 30% tread Unisteer Cross Steering - manual but very easy to steer Manual brakes 1986 Corvette iron head 350 converted to Holly carb on Edlebrock manifold (manual choke) 1980's rebuilt GM 350 Turbo transmission New Walker top of the line radiator wiith A/C hookup for adding A/C if desired (includes Walker fan shroud) New battery in trunk The car runs at 180 degrees unless in stop and go traffic in 95+ heat for a long period it will climb to 210 max, but never overheats. The car isn't a show car by any means but has been a dependable, fun, safe car to drive. There is no bump steer and no darting around. There is minimal steering play. It drives very straight and nice. It is rust free except for a couple small spots at the bottom of the doors that appear to be starting to bubble. The fenders, top of hood and top of car are quite smooth and straight. The hood sides, door skins, and side panels are slightly wavy and needs smoothing to be really nice. It looks like there are patch panels on the doors and the rear side panels. The floor is excellent and original. There are numberous small scratches and chips and a couple places where the filler has cracked. The worst is at the bottom of the left quarter panel and I included a photo of it. The paint is shiny and presentable from 25' but it does need repainting. The roof has been filled and a pop-up sun roof installed. The trunk is unfinished and has a backward opening, rumble seat lid. I once drove the car to 100 mph with no issues. The car has some air leaks, etc. but it would make a fantastic start to a show car or a great driver at a budget price. The engine seals leak slightly. It will make a couple quarter size spots in a week of setting. I have the original, clear title. The garnish moldings were painted black after the picture was taken. The moldings are in very good condition and are just rattle can painted as I didn't want them to rust.
