This 1951 Chevrolet Convertible is an excellent candidate for restoration. It has been painted and has extremely solid floors. The pictures tell the story best, but it wouldn't take much to finish this car and end up with a gorgeous collectible. BODY-- The car has a paint job that appears to be less than 10 years old. The paint is in excellent condition, as is the body sheet metal, with the exception of one dent in the rear driver's side quarter panel. The dent is close to the fuel filler panel, and I've included a closeup picture. Aside from this, it's a very nice paint job on a solid body. For the sake of taking pictures, we've put the hood, grille, and headlights in place. They are not permanently attached yet. In the pictures, the passenger door is open. The door does close, and fits nicely in place. CHASSIS-- The undercarraige appears to have been undercoated at some point, and that's done a very good job of preserving it. The frame is solid, and the floor and trunk pans are extremely clean. ENGINE-- The engine is a 235ci connected to an automatic transmission. I have the engine running, but have not driven the car since it's been sitting for a while and will likely need brakes. With brakes, I believe this car would run and drive just fine. INTERIOR-- The interior will need to be recovered. We have the correct convertible seats, as pictured; as well as door and side panels. EXTRA PARTS-- We have a large amount of parts for the car-- engine, body, etc. There are also trim parts like stainless, hood emblems and so on. As you can see from the pictures, the body is in great condition with nice paint and etremely solid floors. With an interior and a new top, this would be a great car to enjoy for a very long time.
