It spent it's life in Arizona so rust isn't an issue...It is in quite good condition overall (see photos). It's been thier " baby" for more than 30 years... The original paint shines like its brand new! The upolstery is in remarkable shape too.... In 2001 my dad decided to replace the nice but under powered VW engine with a 2.8 liter V6 which is known for for its dependability with less problems than the VW engine had. The extra power made hills a breeze. The new engine has approx. 50,000 miles on it and runs strong...The odometer reads 11844 miles but is actually 111844 miles.. Dad spent $7000 on the professional conversion...The side tent was custom made specifically for this van and is nicer than the pictures reflect...
