IT IS VERY RARE TO FIND A 1960 VEHICLE THAT HAS SUCH A NICE BODY ALL NUMBERS MATCHING NO AFTER MARKET MECHANICAL PARTS EVEN THE ALTERNATOR IS ORIGINAL AND STILL WORKS GREAT THIS 1960 IMPALA HAS A REBUILT STRAIT 6 CYLINDER 140 ....I WAS GOING TO PUT A V-8 IN THE CAR BUT THIS 6 CYLINDER RUNS SO GOOD THAT I JUST LEFT IT IN THE CAR...IT WILL DRIVE ANYWHERE AND IS VERY DEPENDABLE AND CRUISES 75 DOWN THE HWY NO PROBLEM, IT DOSEN'T SMOKE OR HAVE ANY OIL LEAKS OR ANYTHING...THE TRANSMISSION IS A 3 SPEED MANUAL ON THE TREE AND IT SHIFTS LIKE NEW...THIS CAR DRIVES AND RIDES VERY NICE....THE CAR HAS DRUM BRAKES ,MANUAL STEERING BUT VERY EASY TO STEER AND APPLY BRAKES......THE CAR IS VERY SOLID NO MAYJOR RUST OR BONDO BUT THERE ARE SOME VERY SMALL BUBBLES AROUND THE REAR WHEEL WELLS ITS NOT HOLES OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT LIKE SMALL WARTS BUT THEY ARE THERE.THE PAINT IS DRIVER QUALITY I WOULD SAY A 6 or a 7 ON A SCALE OF 1-10....THE TRUNK PAN IS SOLID AND CARPETED ALL THE DOOR AND TRUNK SEALS HAVE BEEN REPLACED & UNDER THE DASH IS IN GREAT SHAPE ALL THE WIRING IS INTACT AND VERY ORGANIZED LOOKS ALL ORIGINAL VERY NICE..SOME OF THE MOLDING IS MISSING 1 PIECE ABOVE THE WINDSHEILD, BOTH LITTLE MOLDING ON THE FRONT FENDERS NEAR THE HEADLIGHTS AND A SMALL V SHAPE MOLDING OFF OF THE TRUNK. THE TRIM AND THE BUMPERS ARE GOOD SHAPE THE VENT WINDOWS SEAM TO HAVE SOME GLUE INSIDE OF THEM A LOCAL GLASS SHOP SAID IF I REMOVE THEM THEY WILL MAKE ME NEW ONES WITH TEMPERED GLASS FOR $100 FOR BOTH ....THE FRONT WINDSHIELD HAS A CRACK I FOUND THAT FOR $300.00 BRAND NEW. THE REST OF THE WINDOW GLASS IS IN VERY SHAPE AND DOES NOT NEED ANY WORK THE REAR AND PASSENGER WINDOWS COULD USE NEW REGULATORS AT THE HANDLE I FOUND THEM FOR $45.00 EACH ON EBAY THEY ROLL UP AND DOWN BUT YOU HAVE TO APPLY SOME PRESSURE AND LIFT THEM WITH YOUR HAND THE VENT WINDOWS OPEN AND CLOSE NORMALY AS WELL AS THE DRIVERS WINDOW THE INTERIOR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION THE SEATS ARE NICELY UPHOLSTERED AND CARPETS AND DOOR PANNELS HAVE NO RIPS OR TEARS. THE RADIO & WIPERS ARE NOT WORKING RIGHT NOW I THINK IT MAYBE IT IS JUST A POWER ISSUE MAYBE JUST A FUSE THEY USE TO WORK LAST TIME I DROVE IT BUT I DROVE IT THE OTHER DAY AND NOW THEY ARE NOT WORKING! THIS CAR HAS HUGE POTENTIAL TO BE A REAL NICE CAR WITH A VERY LITTLE WORK, BUT NOTHING NEEDS DONE TO ENJOY IT THE WAY IT IS AND CRUSE THE REST OF THE SEASON AND HAVE FUN.
