For sale is my 2006 Porsche Cayman S. This car was driven one or two days per week, never in snow or rain, in rotation with my other cars. Overall great condition with no surprises. I bought this car from a couple in South Carolina. The owner was an older corporate executive and used the car to commute for the two years he owned it. Originally a Carolina car, first owned by a Dr for 8,000 miles. This makes me the third owner. The car has been exceptionally cared for and maintained. No stories and no surprises. The first week I owned it, I had the car inspected by Suburban Porsche, in Farminton Hills, MI. It was confirmed that the car was in need of nothing. I had the oil changed and the software flashed. I took the car in before storing for the winter, at which time, the battery was changed under warranty with a brand new battery. I was told that due to little driving, the battery simply lost charge. The 'in-service' date is 10/2006, thus keeping the car under manufacturers warranty until 10/ 2010 (4 years). The Cayman S has been a thoroughly enjoyable car to own. There is very little to be concerned about with newer Porsche ownership. The Michelin Pilot Sport tires are new at 28,000 miles and have nearly full tread left. I have never driven this car hard and have only enjoyed it as a sport alternative to my daily driver. I love the Cayman S, and am selling to make room in my garage for a recently purchased classic (Jaguar E-type). The body of the car is very clean. I clay bar cleaned the paint every few months to remove road tar and bugs. I've used Zymol Glasur Glaze for wax, which was developed by Zymol for Porsche paint. There is a small door ding, which I show in the pictures. There are stone chips on the front bonnet, as you would expect to find in a car with 32,800 miles. I contemplated having the hood painted/ touched up. The Porsche dealer advised against this, as stone chips are inevitable on cars with such low ground clearance. Since the car is black, I was told it would be easy to match color. I decided against having the touch up done, wanting to keep the strength of the original paint. The car was never driven in snow and never saw salt. The car runs incredibly strong and the handling is razor sharp and very precise. If you're familiar with the Cayman S, this needs no elaboration. The car is in need of nothing. It's in immaculate shape, as the pictures indicate. I changed the air filter last fall, before storing the car for winter. Included in the sale is a custom Porsche car cover. I used the cover only after the car had been freshly waxed, before storing for winter. I did this to avoid scratches and swirl marks from the cover, which can happen if you cover a dusty car. Please ask me any questions.
