PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS, MOST SHOULD BE ANSWERED BELOW. Here we have a 1988 suzuki samurai. It is in very good shape and runs very well. It has been very well taken care of and kept in covered storage with a cover over it. The original color looks to be red but im not 100% sure, the previous owner (a friend of the family) had it camo'd and it looks pretty good. I have had this samurai for a year or so and it has been very reliable and is a great running machine. The only reason I am selling it is because I bought it with the intent of taking it to our deer lease in west texas but I have recently taken a job that won't able me to be around for hunting season. In 2009 several things were done to improve this sami. The seats were re-done, additional lights were added to the front bumper, the clutch was replaced along with the throw out bearing and the clutch cable, and a new battery was added. In 2008 a front bumper was built out of heavy plate steel, a rear reciever hitch was built as well also the plugs and wires replaced. The previous owner only drove it about 1000-2000 miles a year so the oil was changed once a year regaurdless of mileage. I am not 100% sure of the exact milage but thats what the odometer shows (about 61000) and it does work properly. There are a couple of things that aren't 100% on this samuai but that comes with any vehicle that is 22 years old. -The speedometer doesn't work (not sure why, maybe something simple) -There is no radio, ment to add one but just never got around to it -Ever since the new clutch was installed the clutch petal seems very tight, the mechanic said it will losen up the more it is used, but I haven't put but 200-300 miles on it since it was installed and it has loosened up some. Not bad, just trying to list anything and everything. -Every now and then the starter clicks when you turn the key (hit it 2 or 3 times and it works like a charm) , I thought it was the battery so I put a new battery on it.....not it, I thought it was the starter and put a new starter on it....not it. Its just every now and then and is nothing to be concerned about, it has never left me stranded or anything like that, but there again I am trying to be honest and note every detail. The mechanic said it was nothing to be worried about. Over all this samurai is in very good shape, everything works good on it (with the exception of the above mentioned). 4x4 works great, All lights work, the horn, blinkers, cigarette lighter, even the lights on the dash light up fine. The tires are still in good shape as well as the spare. It easily passes inspection and is inspected and registered (highway legal). Please remember this sami is 22 years old and isn't perfect, but for something this age its pretty dang good. It hasn't been hot rodded or mudded, just eased around on our farm. There are 2 tops with it, there is a the half top that is shown on it in the pictures and there is a full soft top that is shown in another picture, the full top is in great shape other than one very small tear that has been patched. I have described this samurai to the best of my knowledge and it is sold as is. This will make someone a very good hunting vehicle or farm vehicle. It is a good running and reliable machine. I will assist with shipping up to a couple hundred miles for the cost of gas it takes me to get there. Other wise it is the buyers responsiblity to come get it. There will be a $500 deposite due at auction end and the rest upon pickup. Thanks
