Vehicle Detail
Up for auction, a 1984 Honda V 65 Sabre. This is a bike that I rode daily back in 1992, when a kid in a 65 mustang veered into my lane and caused me to lay it down. I was going about 40 mph, so the damage was not terrible. The little claw mount on the fairing is knocked askew about 1/2 in one direction and twisted about 1/4 in another. So a little up and over. Easy fix for a torch to heat and twist. This was quite a bike back in the day. Custom pinstripping, and extras mounted in the fairing. Cassette player, stuff like that. This fairing is like no other I have seen. It has effects on it that ran the course of your leg and turned a little toward the front wheel like modern sport bikes. It had little vents on the riders side of the legging part to keep you legs cooler. You guys that have clicked on this listing all know what kind of base motorcycle this it. Magna engine with Sabre options. The headlight is mounted in the fairing. However, it could easily be Magna-ized. I even continued to ride it with a foglight on it for a headlight. A fork oil leak, has contaminated the front pads, the tires were new (then)......but they hold air for the purposes of loading and unloading and pushing around, but you should not ride it with those tires on it. Has'nt been started in all those years.......but it will turn over......I have all the parts for it and a title somewhere. If I cant find it, I will get the winner a new one, but there are no liens or any surprises. It is a bike left sitting in a barn for 18 yrs. It has been the source of many family arguments over the years with people who want me to live....(I had a close call once on a KZ 1000) so that is not forgotten. So there it is. For sale. No reserve. No shipping. I will help the winner load up when you get here. I live only 8 minutes south of I-40 where Arkansas and Oklahoma meet. So it is easy to get to. I would deliver for .50 cents a mile one way mileage within 500 miles. Please feel free to ask any questions or clue me in to anything you think potential buyers may need to know. These engines and drivetrains make for good Legends Series Race Cars. FYI $50.00 NON-Refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auctions end, no exceptions. After 24 hours, I will re-list it. This is to offset the ebay motors fees in case of a backout buyer. Please only bid if you are going to pay. 50 bucks is not much......Take up to 7 days to pay in full, can store for a little while if needed, so write to me so I will know..
