Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40 Convertible with Removable Hard Top I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: We received this cute little 4X4 Toyota Land Cruiser from a ranch owner in Medina County Texas. It has the original factory wench that is powered by the transmission. It has been on a ranch for a long time, and they haven’t driven it for over 10 years. Just to be sure that it runs, we sent it out to a mechanic and we asked the mechanic to just start it. The mechanic did the following: He installed a new fuel pump. He replaced some fuel hoses and the fuel filter. He replaced the point condenser and plugs. He changed the oil and oil filter. He installed a battery. He added gas. We have the receipt for all the above work And over $500 later, we know that the engine runs; he had to start the car by hot-wiring the coil as the wiring system is not finished yet, it drives, but to stop it you need to use the hand brake as it needs a brake job. The Land Cruiser is a very good candidate for restoration. The owner started trying to rewire it, but he never finished. He even got the gauges cleaned and calibrated professionally, but the truck does need a complete restoration. The Toyota comes with a clear Texas title. And please remember that because of the brakes and the wiring, it is not drivable so you will need to trailer it home. Please, please, please be sure that you have the money to purchase the car if you are bidding. Remember that this Toyota is 37 years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person, and if you are not sure, please don’t bid. I’m into antiquities and I don’t know that much about automobiles in detail. Please come and check it as I am expressing how I see the vehicle. Your bid is your contract. Please place bids only if you are serious about buying the item. If you are the winning bid, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchase the item. We require a $300 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes, and the remaining balance within a week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. All of this being said please take a look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have. Or come by and check it out in person before you bid. The Toyota will be sold as is, with no warranty or guarantee. For pricing regarding classical automobiles you can refer to www.nadaguides.com We reserve the right to cancel any bid for excessive negative feedback. And I may also advertise it locally. Good luck and have fun.
