A lot of time and attention were given to the paint job on this car. The hood, doors, and front fenders were painted while off the car, then all panels professionally re-installed. So, the door jambs, underside of hood, etc, has the same exceptional paint quality as the rest of the car. Bring your magnet, this car is solid. I have a few pics of car during paint, so you can see that the fenders are not bondo’d rust panels…SOLID metal here! There are now some minor imperfections due to the fact the car is driven. However, I have been told by the many different shops that have worked on it that this is one of the best paint jobs they have seen on a classic. This paint job is not a 20 footer, it looks great, and is great from any distance! Interior is in excellent shape, but it is noticeable that the car is driven on occasion. New carpet, freshly covered front seats, new rear fold up seat chrome trim, re-chromed rear interior vents and slides are just a few items that set the interior off. As mentioned, this car is a driver, and was built as such. It was built with heart, soul, busted knuckles, and a hell of a lot of money. It is a real attention getter. I can not stop to get gas without people wanting to take photos and talk about the car. Red Lights are always interesting. Everyone hears the rumble and either wants you to light it up, or race you. Take your pick…you’ll win either way! This car is not for the faint of heart. The engine is estimated at 400 h.p. based on components, which is plenty for this car, and exceptional for a 306 c.i. engine. The engine has only seen 5,000 miles since installed, as this car is rarely driven. With the locking rear differential, and Maier leaf springs it puts the power down to the street, though strains the rear tires a little through 1st and 2nd gear, and pulls incredibly strong all the way through to redline, which is set at a conservative 6,000 rpm. Redline can be adjusted by replacing MSD rev chip. Engine runs flawless! Chassis has 55,000 miles per odometer. Everything done to the car has been in good taste. I would say it is a resto mod done in very classic muscle car style. Nothing done has sacrificed the original integrity of the car. It could be returned to complete original condition, if you desire. Because this car is a driver, it is not a 10 point, trailer queen show car, but it does garner the attention of one. If you wanted to make this a 10 point trailer queen, it wouldn’t take much, I’ve already done most of the leg work. But it is a car, so please drive it if this ends up yours. Original Engine Block, Heads, C-4 Transmission, and other original misc. parts will be included with car to make it numbers matching, if so desired. I am not selling the car because I have to, rather that I need to. My family has some medical needs, so I am parting with my Mustang for now. So, please do not contact me with unreasonable bids. Buyer to agree to sign a first right of refusal back to me in the event they ever decide to sell the car. Price to be fair market value. I do have a collateral loan agaist the car with my credit union. Loan is for a minimal amount. So, as soon as payment is received, the loan will be paid off and title will be forwarded directly to Buyer via FedEx. I can be reached by cell between 5 – 9 p.m. Pacific Time, cell 714-337-0084.
