Vehicle Detail
This little bike is in excellent shape, mostly original with a few recent upgrades. It is not a show bike, but a really nice rider. It starts easily and does not smoke. It does not leak. The engine # is 2502388. There are new seals and gaskets throughout and the previous owner told me the engine was rebuilt at some point. Based on the condition of the engine vs. the mileage on the odometer, I believe him. However, since I did not personally have the rebuild done I cannot be 100% certain - I am just being as honest as I can be. It runs strong, shifts cleanly. It is a 3-speed auto, and only came in this color ("Tahitian Red") in 1976. The chrome on the bike is very clean. The handlebar knobs move freely and the bars fold down as they should. Original paint is still very shiny, but not perfect - a few marks here and there. The rear swingarm has a scratch in it, see one of the photos. The horn works, as does the headlight and hi/lo beam selector. The taillight does not work, I am not sure if it is a bulb or what. The bike has new tires, a new seat, brake and speedo cables, rear shocks, front shock rebuild, and exhaust pipe. I purchased this bike just over a year ago and have made the following repairs in that time: carb clean, disassembly and rebuild, new condenser and points, new sparkplug, new buddy pegs on the back. I do not have a title but will provide a bill of sale and help the buyer receive one - in Indiana it is a simple process to get one, not sure about other states. This bike turns heads, out in the country or on the campground - it is always a hit! If you have any questions, please ask. I have tried to describe to the best of my ability but don't hesitate to ask if there is something specific you want answered. It is probably going to be more cost-effective for you to pickup the bike in Lafayette, IN (2 hours from Chicago, 1 hour from Indy). However, I will work with a shipper of your choice if you choose to have it shipped. Deposit can be made via paypal, full payment upon pickup of bike. I may be able to meet within a reasonable distance (say 50 miles or so).>It is probably going to be more cost-effective for you to pickup the bike in Lafayette, IN (2 hours from Chicago, 1 hour from Indy).
