1995 Ford Winstar Van for Parts or Repair Click on a picture to see it full size. You are bidding on a 1995 Ford Windstar van. The van has a 155HP 3.8L V-6 engine, air conditioning, tilt steering, cruise control, dual airbags, and cloth seats. The engine is where the problem is. I had to replace the spark plugs on it, and when I did I stripped out one of the spark plug holes on the head. I was told that since the head was aluminum that you couldn't fix it. So I had to replace the head. Afterwards, I started it up for a test drive. As I drove it down the street the temperature climbed fast. Whithin three blocks or so, it was trying to over heat. So I turned around, and by time I drove that distance back I had a little oil in the water. My guess is that I screwed up putting the head gasket on. The vehicle wasn't running more than five minutes so I don't think it did any real damage to the engine. I don't have the time to spend doing this again, and I alread had to get another car to get around in, so my loss is your gain! The van has a few other dents and dings as well, like the front driver's side fender and side took a hit from a deer (see pictures). The fender took the brunt of the impact and is dented pretty well. The side is dinged up but not as bad. The front driver's side blinker lens is missing, but the bulb has been canged out for a yellow one so it is legal. The interior is in pretty good shape, but needs to be cleaned. The seats have the normal wear for a vehicle this age. I have tried to describe and show all of the bad parts of this vehicle accurately and to the best of my knowledge. Please make sure to ask any queastions that you might have before bidding.
