You are bidding on a truly remarkable 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III. This car is a completely original, 2 owner car that has been kept in a climate controlled garage since new. The Lincoln Mark III was introduced in 1968 as a 1969 model to compete with the redesigned Cadillac Eldorado. A head to head review done by Motor Trend Magazine in 1970 named the Mark III as the better of the two. Many celebrities have owned the Mark III such as Elvis Presley, Dean Martin, and countless others. This is considered my many classic car enthusiasts to be one of the most beautiful and collectible American luxury cars ever made. This particular 1970 Mark III is magnificient. It has only 61,493 original documented miles. The original paint is in near perfect condition with only very few minor chips. There absolutely no rust or rot anywhere on this car and it has never had any body work of any kind. The original vinyl top is in perfect condition with no rips, fading, or shrinking. The original chrome looks like new and has absolutely no pitting or rust anywhere. The interior is also completely original and in show quality condition. The original dark green leather is free of any rips or stains. The front seats show very little wear, something you would expect to see in a car that is 2 years old, not 40. The rear seats look like they have never been sat in. The original door panels and wood trim are in perfect condition. The original headliner is also in perfect condition. The original carpet is also in excellent condition with not stains, rips, or wear marks. It has the original AM radio with 8 track player that works excellent. All of the guages and interior lights work perfect. All of the power windows and seats work excellent. This car also has the very desirable Cartier clock. Mechanically the car is very sound. It is powered by its original numbers matching 460 ci V8 with 365 hp. It runs very smooth and has been recently tuned up. It always runs very cool even here in South Florida where it is nearly 100 degrees every day. The transmission it the original C6 which has been rebuilt. It shifts up and down through all of the gears perfectly. The air conditioning system has been gone through and has a new compressor, condenser, expansion valve, dyer, and has been converted to R134 coolant. The head light buckets open and close perfectly and all of the exterior lights work perfectly. The undercarriage is flawless. Again, there is absolutely no rust or rot anywhere on this car.
