Vehicle Detail

I am selling my Camaro and it is in fact a Z28. I really love this car but my life is going in a direction where I need to shift my priorities. I have had this a year and it is a nice car. It is not a show car but a car to drive and play with as you do improvements on, which is what my plan was. I will try to give the best description on this car as I can. I am no mechanic, but I can give you as much as I know about this car and be as honest as possible. I drove this car for a few months daily while waiting to get another vehicle. It does need some work but it wont take a lot to drive it daily or whatever you intend to do with it. When you start it, it starts right up and runs good. But, as I was driving it I noticed at times that it was showing a little low on oil. The problem is there was no leaks and it was not burning it either. I was going to have the engine worked on and it was said that they were going to check the seals and such and tear it down to see what was going on. I Can't venture a guess on what is going on because I put a cover on it and let it sit for 2 months with hopes of having it worked on.But I had other things to deal with at the time. But as I said, this 350 starts right up. When I bought the car it had sat for a year and it fired right up. When I bought this car last year, the owner was going to have a full restoration done. So, the fenders were off, the front clip and other parts were off. I had someone put it back together because it was in great shape and I wanted to have stuff done little by little. I bought 2 new front wheel wells and had them put on it. I also searched "high and low" to find and original radiator support that was not rusted. I found one and it is installed and painted as well. It has a fairly new dual exhaust on it. The body is solid and pretty sound as well. I was actually really impressed with the conditon of this car when I got it. One thing that needs to be done soon body wise, is getting a new trunk pan welded in it. They run around $350 from what I have seen, plus having it welded in. In one of the pictures you can see why it needs one. The supports for the gas tank underneath are attatched to the rusty area of the trunk pan. The body looks good. There are some little dings. and scratches that I tried to show in the pictures. The front clip has paint cracking and also someone tried to do a touch up and the color is a little off in spots. Like I said, this is not a show car but it is a really nice looking Camaro. My daughter and I use to drive it all over and got tons of compliments on this car. People seem to love it where ever we go. The interior is in really good shape. The seats are newly done. the dash was at one time red and someone dyed it black. There are no cracks in the dash. The headliner is new. the back area behind the seats has new fabric as well. I have given an overview of this car. If you have any questions or want more pics feel free to email me. I will give you the best I can. I hope to see this car go to someone who will have fun with it and like it as much as I do. This was a car I had wanted since I was a teenage girl at 14. But, as I said, things change and I am moving on. Note: I have been a seller and buyer on ebay for a few years, but was on with my husband. I am on my own account but am not new to ebay. This is a relisting...I am starting the bid low. At 2,500 this car is starting at alot lower than it is worth. I am in the middle of moving and want to get a decent price and for it to go to a good place. It needs some work done to it but alot of the expensive body things and interior dont need much. The engine can be rebuilt or it is very easy to find another 350 chevy motor. Also, I forgot to mention that the sway bar from the rear is taken off and in the trunk because it was attatched to the area that has rust underneath the trunk. I have noticed a slight lean on the drivers side. could be from a bad shock, I am not sure. I have given everything to the best of my knowledge and am happy to answer any questions you may have. I guarantee that at the starting price it is the best deal for a 79 Z28. Like I said I want to sell it because it is hard to just look at it sit and I choose to not have work done on it at this time. Have fun and give it a good home. Happy bidding! Robin Also, I want it gone asap once it is sold. I am moving and really dont want to have it sit in an empty area. I am also going out of town next week. On Jun-24-10 at 07:37:33 PDT, seller added the following information:By the way, when I say it is leaning on the drivers side, I mean it is very little! It may even be because the sway bar is off.On Jun-26-10 at 07:37:19 PDT, seller added the following information:These pictures were taken 2 weeks ago.On Jun-26-10 at 08:21:20 PDT, seller added the following information:I just took a few pictures of the floor pans. If you want to see them, just email me and I will be happy to send them to you. Thanks! Robin
