Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1971 K5 Chevrolet Blazer. Let me start by giving a little background… I bought this truck about two years ago. The main things that I did to it were new seats, stereo, Tuffy lock box, lift, rims, and tires. I have done many other things but those are the most noticeable. This Blazer has been my daily driver since the day I bought it. One to two times a month I have taken it on road trips that average about eight hours round trip. My point is this… it is reliable. I trust this truck and I HATE having to get rid of it. I am moving soon and therefore have to sell this bad boy. Now for some details: The truck is painted with bed liner, Superliner to be specific, and it looks awesome. This “paint job” is just about rust proof AND scratch proof. The inside is also sprayed with bed liner, Rhino Liner I believe. The engine is a 350 with a 350 turbo transmission. It has a 12 bolt rear-end. It has a red top Optima battery. Based on what the previous owner said I would guess that this motor has 30-40k miles on it. I had the transmission looked at about two weeks ago and everything looks good inside. It also has A/C that blows cold (fan is a little noisy), but this is a big truck and very difficult to cool down. The lift is a 6” Skyjacker with 35” Pro-Comp all terrain tires and Pro-Comp rims. This vehicle also comes with a nice soft top that has tinted windows. As I mentioned it has a Tuffy Lock box center console. Inside the console is a pioneer stereo (as pictured) and inside the large compartment of the console is an iPod connector. This iPod connection plays over the stereo AND it charges your iPod. This truck also has a custom roll bar with shoulder belts for the front seats. The side marker lights are smoked. It also has auxiliary back-up lights. In the front it has two nice Hella lights AND two KC lights under the bumper. All of the switches are located to the right of the gauge cluster. I’m sure that I have only scratched the surface of the details so please feel free to ask questions. Also, I have a box of spare parts, some of them new… including door handles, non-smoked side marker lights, and much more. I also have a stack of manuals and magazines for this vehicle model. The previous owner also gave me tons of receipts and pictures. The pictures document a lot of what he had done to the truck. There are pictures before paint (proof that the bed liner was not put on to cover anything up) and pictures with the engine out. This truck is in awesome shape, but it is not perfect… no old car is. I’m happy to show it to anyone that wants to see it. It is being sold as-is with no warranties expressed or implied. I reserve the right to sell it locally before the auction ends. I HATE selling this truck and I am confident that anyone who buys it will be very happy with it. It is a fun driving, cool looking, head turner. I mentioned that I bought it two years ago and that since then I have made many improvements. I paid over $10k for the truck, but I want everyone to know that unfortunately I NEED to sell this vehicle so the reserve has been set for thousands less than what I purchased it for. Thanks for checking it out.
