DESERT AUTOSPORT IS VERY PLEASED TO BRING TO THE MARKETPLACE THIS 1991 BENTLEY TURBO R SEDAN. THIS FLAGSHIP BENTLEY WAS OVER $145,000 NEW AND STILL LOOKS LIKE AN ULTRA EXPENSIVE CAR EVEN TO THIS DAY. WE PURCHASED THIS CAR ABOUT A YEAR AGO FROM AN INSURANCE COMPANY AND THINK IT WAS INVOLVED IN SOME SORT OF INSURANCE FRAUD CASE. SINCE A CLAIM WAS PAID AGAINST IT, THE INSURANCE COMPANY ISSUED A SALVAGE TITLE FOR IT. IT IS 100 PERCENT COMPLETE AND UNDAMAGED. IT HAS SOME SUSPENSION ISSUES AND ONE OF OUR EMPLOYEE'S WAS GOING TO MAKE A PROJECT CAR OUT OF IT AND REPLACE THE PROBLEMATIC SUSPENSION WITH AIRBAGS, BUT LOST HIS JOB SHORTLY AFTER WE PURCHASED IT. WE HAD THE FUEL DISTRIBUTOR REBUILT AND IT RAN FINE BUT WAS LEAKING OUT SUSPENSION FLUID BADLY WHEN RUNNING. IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND NOW JUST WANT TO CRANK AND NOT START. ALL POWER FEATURES ON THE CAR WORK INCLUDING THE WINDOWS, SEATS AND MIRRORS. THE BEST PART IS THAT IT HAS A SET OF FACTORY 18" CHROME PLATED BENTLEY WHEELS WITH CUSTOM MADE ADAPTERS TO FIT ONTO THIS CAR. THE LAST SET OF USED WHEELS AND SPACERS WE PUT ON A CORNICHE CONVERTIBLE LIKE THESE COSTS US OVER $3,000 ALONE!!! THE PAINT AND BODY ARE IN VERY NICE CONDITION AND ASIDE FROM SOME CRACKS IN THE PAINT ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE AND IT HAS CURB APPEAL FROM A MILE AWAY AND LOOKS SHARP FROM EVERY ANGLE. THE INTERIOR STILLS HAS THAT RICH BENTLEY SMELL AND IS IN NICE SHAPE AS WELL. THE ONLY ISSUES ARE SOME CRACKING IN THE WOOD ON THE TOPS OF THE DOOR PANELS, WE DO NOT HAVE THE FACEPLATE FOR THE RADIO IN THE CAR AND THE TRUCK KEY BROKE OFF IN THE CYLINDER SO WE HAVE THE LOCK REMOVED AND A SMALL PULL TAB SET UP TEMPORARILY SO YOU CAN GAIN ACCESS TO THE TRUCK. MECHANICALLY WE DID HAVE IT RUNNING WELL BUT COULD NOT BE DRIVEN DUE TO THE SUSPENSION AND CURRENTLY JUSTS CRANKS OVER AND DOES NOT START OR RUN.
