This auction is for a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with 112,422 miles. The engine is 3.0L 24-Valve. This car was originally green and just the exterior was custom painted metallic black and viper red, the engine bay and interior metal is still green. The paint job was done a little over a year ago and is still in excellent condition. The interior is tan carpets and tan leather seats and bucket seats. There are no rips or tears in the seats just normal wear. All the electrical interior and exterior works excellent, the only thing that is going out is the digital odometer for miles has been cutting out some of the numbers which you can see in the photos and the clock in the middle of the dash does not work (probably a bad fuse or wiring is lose at the connector back there). The interior and exterior will be cleaned thoroughly and waxed to provide the newest look possible. Besides the 2 minor problems with the electrical that I mentioned above, the interior is in pretty good shape. The only other problems is the upper left corner of the headliner has a 2 inch hole in it which I do not know how it happened as it was like that before I bought the car. I will provide a excellent condition headliner from a 1992 3000GT VR4 that you can use as materials to fix the hole in the headliner in the eclipse. The last issue with the interior is in the far back corner on the passenger side on the dash, the plastic has a small crack in it just in the far back corner which isn't noticeable unless you look through the windshield there. Engine wise it runs very smooth and has many new parts which will be listed below. I did have the car inspected and there are a few oil leaks. Head gaskets are starting to go out which you cant even tell that they are going bad as the car runs very smooth, the distributor is leaking a little bit of oil so the seals on it will need to be replaced, and the camshaft seals are leaking as well. The oil is changed every 2,000-3,000 miles with synthetic oil and Lucas oil treatment is used as well. The only other problem with the engine is that the air conditioner clutch is starting to go out. The transmission is 5-speed automatic sportstronic and was rebuilt over a year ago, and the transmission right now is slipping very little every once in awhile so I am not sure if the fluid and filter needs to be replaced. The front bumper I did replace but still needs to be painted. I do have the original bumper that I can include that is painted viper red, it just has a large crack along the bottom of it. The windshield has a crack in it. The rear bumper is VFiber Fiberglass and needs to be fixed or replaced as it was backed into at work from a small pickup truck so it punctured and cracked the bumper on the driver side. It also bent the muffler tips on the driver side which you can see in the photos, but it isnt cracked at all and still works great. I will also include the original bumper that is in excellent condition if you decide to replace the damaged one. The trunk has a double deck Fiberglass spoiler.
