Vehicle Detail
Excellent 1961 Econoline E-100 Truck - No Reserve This has been a great Truck and as you can see I have used it to advertise my business. This is my second advertising vehicle and I typically fix them up and use them for about two to three years. This way the cars remain eye catching to people in my community. This truck is so unique looking, especially with its sunscreen eyes, that people literally come by and take pictures of it. My previous advertising vehicle was a 1955 Pontiac Chieftain that was bought and sold on Ebay (see picture). The vinyl logos and lettering peal right off with no problem and the logos and lettering on my 1955 Chieftain came right off when I sold it too. But, perhaps there is another State Farm agent out there that would love this vehicle. Everyone in town knows my car and right where to find my office because I park the truck out front. When I bought this truck it was red and off white so I had it repainted to red and white. I also had the spare tire rim painted white to match the white on the car. Then I had the bed sand blasted and I had a spray-in bed liner put in. It looks GREAT and I get a lot of comments at the car shows about it. Because I had the bed stripped down to the metal, the contact of the liner to the truck is as good as you can get. I then polished the headlight surrounds and replaced the lenses on the brake and signal lights. The two interior bucket seats were redone by the previous owner and are in great shape. There are also lap seat belts that were installed by the previous owner. The truck runs great with its manual 3 on the tree transmission. Originally this truck was restored by an Uncle and Nephew team and I bought it out of Las Vegas from the nephew 2 1/2 years ago. Currently the trucks signal and brake lights are not working but it's a simple electrical system and shouldn't take too much to fix. The only rust area of note is shown in the photos and is located on the driver's side front wheel well. There was a similar but larger rust area on the passenger side front wheel well that I had repaired and repainted. In a couple of areas on the tailgate the new paint has flaked to reveal the old red below. The Truck comes with the following uninstalled items: Custom Cover (See picture, came from previous owner and I do not know where it comes from or how to get another one) Concours Series Custom Autosound 200 Watt AM/FM Auto- Reverse Cassette with RCA Outputs & Aux Inputs for iPod, MP3, DVD, Satellite, Etc. Custom Autosound model DVCUP-69 6"x 9" Dual Voice Coil 140 Watt dual tweeter speaker Econoline Dual Door Anti Rattle Kit (came from the previous owner and I didn't feel the need to install it) This truck is not a best-in-show quality restoration but has been a huge crowd pleaser at the car shows. I insure lots of the classic cars because of my involvement in the classic car community and it has been a great way to meet people and expand my business through these new relationships. When I bought my first classic car I was not mechanical at all but I have had a great time learning about cars and it is fun to mix business with this hobby. I hate to see this truck go but I look forward to my next (third) project. Purchaser will arrange for all shipping. I will be as helpful as I can possibly be to get it shipped, just like I was when I sold the 1955 Pontiac on ebay to a gentleman in Delaware.
