This BMW was involved in a minor collision in 1998, The owner at the time had a high quality BMW specialty repair shop perform the repairs. This cost over 8,000.00 which exceeded the value of the BMW and therefore a Salvage brand was put on the title. It doesn’t make a lot of sense considering that if the repairs were performed by a less qualified repair shop, the price would have been less and would not have exceeded the value of BMW and a Salvage brand would not be on the title, but that is just how the system works. It is a great quality BMW convertible. 5 speed transmission with a great clutch, shifts smooth. New front and rear calipers and brake pads. Runs and drives great, very smooth and powerful. No dash cracks, leather sport seats are showing age and wear under sheep skin seat covers as well as the top of the rear seats.
