Vehicle Detail
This car needs to be sold quickly and I have priced it to move. Anyone who needs or would like a solid Chrysler product with the huge 440 engine should not wait to pick up this wonderful machine. Up for grabs is my 1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham Bluesmobile with the 440 cubic inch engine & 727 transmission. The engine runs extremely smooth, strong and cool and has a little over 87,000 miles on it. The A/C does not work. It has been driven daily since March 31, 2010. All of the following parts were replaced over the winter and are BRAND NEW as of March 31, 2010: Timing Chain & Gears Water Pump Fuel Pump Alternator Distributor with Cap & Rotor Spark Plugs & Wires Ignition Coil Ignition Control Module Voltage Regulator Ballast Resistor Brake Master Cylinder Fan Belts Fan Harmonic Balancer Thermostat Upper & Lower Radiator Hoses PCV & Oil Breather Valves. The radiator was flushed, pressure tested and had a side bracket re-soldered and the Carter Thermoquad carburetor was professionally rebuilt. I also removed the battery bracket from another car, cleaned & painted it and installed it in this car. The previous owner painted the car to resemble the Bluesmobile from the 1980's movie The Blues Brothers. It is the most interesting cruiser in my county and attracts a lot of admirers. The previous owner also removed the vinyl top (I was told it was in very poor condition), as well as, the fender skirts and side trim pieces. I have the trim and it will be included with the car along with the original hubcaps. I have a clean title to the car and it can be driven most anywhere. The car will need attention with 2 window motors and I recommend replacing the exhaust before winter though it is still quiet. The body is clean and solid with no major rust issues of any kind and I have filled holes left over from the trim the previous owner removed to keep out water. I have put a lot of work into this car but need to move it ASAP and my asking price is only what I have invested in the car. Car is located in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania - about 45 minutes north of Pittsburgh for viewing. The car is also listed for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing at any time. The 440 and 727 combo is highly sought after and the price is set to move quickly. The buyer is responsible for any and all shipping and no warranty is expressed or implied. I am going to miss this car and that monster engine, but my loss is your gain - drop the 440 into anything to turn an ordinary car into a pavement burning machine or restore and cruise this great example of Chrysler engineering.
