Vehicle Detail

1999 Ford F-250 Lariat 7.3 Liter Turbo Diesel You're looking at a sharp '99 F-250 Lariat with the 7.3 Liter Turbo Diesel Engine.I have owned the truck for 2 years and have no complaints. I use the truck for hauling firewood and other general purposes around the house and, so far, I haven't found anything it cant tow. I have taken several pictures but if you have a question about something not pictured, feel free to send me an email and I'll reply asap. The body is in good overall condition. There is a wrinkle in the passenger door and a small ding in the driver's side of the hood (both pictured) and a few scuffs on top of the cab. All are cosmetic flaws and shouldn't take much to fix. The interior is in good shape, showing signs of normal wear on the leather, mainly on the driver's seat. There are no tears in the leather, just normal signs of someone getting in and out. The steering wheel was originally leather-wrapped, but the top portion wore off so it now has a regular steering wheel cover over it. Again, very minor. The engine and transmission are both in great shape. I have kept the oil changed every 5k miles with Rotella Synthetic diesel oil. I also had the Transmission fluid and filter serviced last summer at the local shop, which cost somewhere around $175.00 if I recall correctly. The only thing that I can think of that the engine needs is an oil pan gasket. I noticed a few weeks ago that the oil pan is dripping a little bit. Again, nothing major. Other than that I cant think of anything that the truck needs. The 7.3 Liter Turbo-Diesel is the most popular diesel engine that Ford has made to date. These things have a VERY high tolerance for use / abuse. It is scheduled to go to the dealership Tuesday 6-15-2010 to get the speedometer cable replaced. This is a Ford-Issued recall that I got in the mail a few weeks ago. If I understand correctly, they will replace the speedometer cable assembly in the transmission to fix some sort of defect it has. The speedometer sometimes fluctuates randomly and I understand that the recall addresses that issue. The dealer that I bought the truck from told me that both batteries were replaced the year before I bought it, which would have been in 2007. The only other thing I can think of that needs to be done is having the tires balanced. This is a GREAT truck overall. I am selling it because I will be going out of town for a few months and dont want to see it set here not being used. The tires probably have about 10-15% tread life remaining. They are the tires that were on the truck when I bought it and I havent driven it enough to think about replacing them yet. I will be leaving at the end of the month so please make arrangements to pick the truck us asap after the auction close. I will assist in delivering to the Nashville or Memphis airport and will drive a "reasonable" distance to meet the winning bidder. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. daemon.key@hotmail.com or text 731.614.4716 The truck is for sale locally and in other venues so I reserve the right to end the auction early On Jun-11-10 at 22:17:20 PDT, seller added the following information: A few items I forgot to list. The truck also has power windows & doors (the passenger window is a little slower than the driver's side), sliding rear window, power steering, ice-cold air conditioning and great heat, tilt wheel, cruise control & power driver's seat. Also, the black tool box in the bed does not go with the truck, and it no longer has the running board pictured on the passenger side. It only had the passenger's side running board when I bought it so I took the other side off as well. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!
