up for auction is my very nice 1972 Datsun 240z Daily driver. LOWERED RESERVE because i found a 64 vw notchback for $2800 that i really want. the car starts, runs, stops and handles perfectly all gauges work accurately all lights work inside and out turn signals and windshield wiper switches work smoothly all new poly bushings up front including polyurethene rack and pinion bushings steering is very tight and feels great at any speed car is smooth up to 120 mph ( thats as fast as i have taken it to) the car handles great. the perfect balance of slight understeer into corners and a bit of oversteer exiting. it lifts the inside front tire off the ground !!!( see pictures) all new brakes all around including lines and flex lines. new wheel bearings carbs were rebuilt and are perfectly balanced and tuned to correct plug colour. it has a very simple but very effective cold air intake nice exhaust ,quiet with a good tone speedo, tach and fuel gauge all work great! new kyb gas adjust struts all around. 14x7" alloy mesh wheels great tires. interior is nearly perfect, no dash cracks, seats have absolutely no flaws anywhere. newer strong clutch trans shifts perfectly through all gear car has never had much rust, there ar small patch panels on the floor pan, but have been fixed and sealed nicely. car was ziebart rustproofed years ago! car is undercoated new windshield seal perfect dash!!! original am/fm radio works and antenna goes up and down like it should. great heat and defroster, no ac new clutch master and slave cylinders new plugs wires and a accell performance coil new points and condensor new mechanical fuel pump also has a electic fuel pump from a 280z that you can use to prevent vapor lock on hot days but the car will run perfectly with either the mechanical or electric or both you decide. all you do is unplug the hot wire for the fuel pump at the + side of the coil. cooling system is running a mixture of water wetter, water and a little bit of green antifreeze. runs cool on long highway trips and hot days sitting in traffic. the car has great compression but does smoke a little bit on hard acceleration. original l24 and 4 spd trans does not leak a drop of oil anywhere valves were just adjusted original 3 screw su's with e88 intakes choke works ( i needed it during the winter) new fuel and air cleaner clean mi title car is located charlotte nc i am willing to deliver the car anywhere in the country for a agreed amount depending on location. if you prefer a louder exhaust i have a bolt on rear section to delete the quiet muffler on it right now. it takes about 10 minutes to swap and sounds great but is much louder than with the muffler on. i recently drove the car from northern michigan to charlotte north carolina with no problems, i have never had any problems with this car it starts quickly and idles smoothly, it has no hesitations at all at any rpm. buy it and drive it anywhere without doing a single thing to it!!! i am willing to trade for ???? let me know what you have again my dash is perfect as is the rest of the interior. check this out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-1973-Datsun-240Z-OEM-DASH-PAD-RARE-NEAR-PERFECT-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem45f380cb17QQitemZ300438047511QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories my dash is just as nice as this one!! heres a video of me driving the car on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z1LNXEtiJI and another http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX3ILurOWBk thanks for looking
