Vehicle Detail

This is a beautiful sports vehicle that has been carefully maintained by its one owner and senior driver. I bought this vehicle from Kerbick's in Atlantic City, NJ in December 2002, and have always garaged it in my Tewksbury, MA home. It has never seen snow or ice, or intentionally been taken out in the rain. The car has a flawless CARFAX record, and effortlessly passed Massachusettes safety inspection in May. It has only seen preventative maintenance, except for an April 2010 visit to my local Chevrolet dealer to replace a return spring on the clutch pedal. That repair was covered by the vehicle's GM Major Guard extended warranty, which covers the car bumper to bumper until December 2, 2010. That GM warranty is transferrable to the fortunate next owner. As you may know this car comes through with all of the niceties that would be expected of a vehicle with a $51,955 manufacturers suggested retail price. That list price included the Z06 package, plus memory package, the three electrochromic mirrors, and the factory front license plate frame. In addition to power steering, brakes, windows, driver seat, and door locks, the car comes with heated power mirrors, active handling, driver information center and countless other comfort, safety, and convenience features. A lengthy list of amenities is displayed on the original window sticker, which comes with the vehicle. Since this is a one owner car, and a 50th Anniversary edition of when the first Corvette was made; the next owner will receive all of the delivery and commemorative documentation. This includes the window sticker, emissions rating, dealer to buyer transfer forms, certificate of origin, the serial number specific Corvette instructional CD, the Z06 version of the owners video, the 50th Anniversary owners manual, and the Corvette brochure, including an in-depth tour of the 2003 Corvette and a year to year history of the 50 editions built to that time. Since I previously owned a 1963 coupe, a 1969 427, and a 1996 Grand Sport, I appreciate the value of proper maintenance and retention of Corvette documentation. I have added some visual enhancements that are shown in the attached photos. For example, I mounted the original tail lights flush, added chrome rear and painted front license plate frame, added a chrome transmission cover, added chromed GM wheels from Ecklers/Corvette Mike, a shorty antenna, drilled & slotted brake rotors and chrome rotor hats, and ceramic brake linings to reduce dust to the wheels. I believe these subtle changes enhanced the beautiful electron blue metallic paint. An aftermarket dual cup holder also adds to the touring pleasure with this car. No one has ever smoked in this car. I replaced the OEM tires in March 2007 with Firestone Firehawk wide ovals. I love them. Unfortunately, I picked up a nail on my left rear tire and replaced it in April 2010 with a new exact replacement. That one tire has slightly more tread remaining than the other three, but since the nail was at the edge of the tread close to the side wall, I did not want to create risk to myself or the next owner. The interior, body, and paint are in very good condition, reflective of the low mileage on the car. There has never been any body work or accident damage. One wheel has some slight curb rash, which led to my decision of total tire replacement with the Firestone Firehawks, which have a curb guard on the tire side wall. I would like the winning bidder to send me a $250 deposit within 48 hours of the bid closing, to hold the car. The best way to do that may be on your credit card through Pay Pal. Final payment should be made by certified bank check or cash. My bank is Bank of America, and I would prefer it be their check. I am reasonable, but would like us to both be comfortable during the financial transaction.
