1993 BMW 525i - Car is not currently in running condition. Buy for hard to find BMW parts or to fix up. Car was bought and used to offset miles on a lease vehicle I had. On the way home one day in October, the serpentine belt broke and the car overheated. It has been sitting idle in my garage and driveway ever since. The bad: Needs a new serpentine belt, a new battery, the exterior paint is faded in areas (see pics), sunroof is ajar (tried closing it right when the car died but it would not close all the way), interior leather is badly worn and has a couple small holes (see pics), drivers door handle is broken (still works but you have to lift hard), car has been idle for several months so I am sure the tires need air and probably replacing sooner than later, interior plastic is worn and has some damage (not surprising for a 17 year old car), and the front fog light and headlights are broken/damaged (see pic). I have purchased new headlights but never installed them (see below and pics). The good: Has new front lower control arms (est value at $44 each) and new headlights (loose, est. value of $70 each). I am told the parts fit other BMW years and models but if you are buying the car for parts, you may want to research it before buying I do not want a negative rating so please come see the car before bidding so you know exactly what you are getting PICK UP ONLY. Buyer must arrange to pick the vehicle up. Seller takes no responsiblity in delivery or towing of the vehicle. Buyer responsible to pick up vehicle no more than two weeks from end of auction.
