Everything works exactly as it should on this Porsche. The 5-speed manual gearbox is tight and accurate and is mated to a solid clutch that shows no signs of wear or abuse. The upgraded Turbo breaks are firm and reassuring with the added assistance of ABS. The cruise control unit operates exactly as intended and keeps the car steady at the selected speed. Even the factory alarm system operates flawlessly. Others might preach that they have “the nicest 944 Turbo out there”, but they certainly have not had the opportunity to see or drive this one! I’ve owned three other 944 Turbo’s, a 911 Turbo, a 928 S and a Boxster S. I’m an avid Porsche Club of America member and I can assure you that this 944 Turbo is certainly nothing less than extraordinary! As with any 23 year-old car, there will be some age-related wear, but as can be noted in the many pictures, this is very minimal. The only items that the next owner may want to pursue are the stereo, which was upgraded to a Sony in-dash CD unit, but will need some tweaking to satisfy those who have an especially critical ear, and the air conditioner, which will require a basic recharge to blow “ice cold”. Deposit & Payment of Remaining Balance A five hundred dollar ($500) non-refundable payment through Paypal to rherstei@umich.edu is required twenty-four (24) hours after the auction has ended to secure the transaction. This payment is required for the costs, time and loss of potential buyers associated with the auction should the sale not be completed. The remaining balance due must be paid within five (5) business days of the close of the auction. The vehicle will not be delivered until all financial transactions have been completed. If the winning bidder either fails to pay the five hundred dollar ($500) payment within twenty-four (24) hours of the auction close, or does not pay the remaining balance within the five (5) business day period, the seller has the right to refuse the sale and any payment to the seller will not be returned to the buyer. If the buyer decides after agreeing to purchase the vehicle that he or she does no longer wants the vehicle, no refund of any kind will be issued. Shipping I will gladly assist the buyer with the shipping of his or her vehicle, but this is ultimately the responsibility of the buyer. The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. Inspection This vehicle has been fully inspected before being listed on e-Bay. I fully welcome a buyer's private inspection. I will gladly show the car in person or assist any bidder who wishes to have a private party inspect the car but this must be done prior to auction ending. The buyer is responsible for any fees incurred.
