This 1984 Ford Escort Diesel is a the last of the little gems. With 74000 original miles it has a lot of miles left on it and is a prime candidate for biodiesel conversion. It has no power anything on it except power brakes. These 2.0 litre diesel engines were made by Mazda and put in to the Ford Escort, Tempo and Mercury Topaz and Lynx from 1984-1988. The body is in reasonable shape for its age. The car sat in a barn for 10 years. I have replaced several front end parts on it and it has pretty good tires on it. This car is about economy and fuel mileage. I have personally got 49.2 MPG. It is driveable but has a small leak in the diesel fuel tank that can be repaired. It is located in the Berkshires of western Mass. This is a no reserve auction and highest bid gets it. I do reserve the right to withdraw the listing as it is advertised locally.
