Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a rare 1961 Ford Falcon 2-door station wagon. This is an all original car that has not been messed with at all. I believe I am the second owner. The 92 year old original owner passed away and I bought it from his son who was managing his estate. Because of this, I believe the odometer is reading original miles with a little over 97,000. The car has the 144ci straight six motor with the “ford-o-matic” two-speed automatic transmission. It runs and drives great and only needs a few minor things to be a good daily driver (a heater core and new door seals is about it). It is very complete, with all the trim there and in good shape. The front seat has been recovered, but the fold-down back seat still has the original “western vinyl” trim option in fairly good condition. This car has been in Colorado all its life, and has almost no rust. There is rust behind both rear wheels, and there is rust in the driver’s floor pan because of a leaky door seal. Other than that, there is no rust in the other floor pans, no rust in the tailgate, no rust in the rocker panels, no rust in the inner fender skirts, and absolutely no rust in the frame. Aside from the couple rust spots I mentioned, the only other body work would be replacing the passenger’s side front fender; because I think it may be beyond repair. The rest of the body is very straight with only a few fairly minor dents that could easily be fixed. The roof is extremely straight. All the glass is in great shape, and it appears that only the windshield is not factory original Ford glass. It still has the original wheels with the center covers. One has some curb rash but the other three are in great shape. This car could be a daily driver right away, or with a little work it could be a weekend cruise night car, or it is a great candidate for a high-end hot rod project. You will not be disappointed. I have a clear Colorado title in hand. Don't be fooled by shiny new paint. You never know what kind of mess is underneath there. It can get really expensive to fix someone else's sloppy work, and bondo can cover up a lot of rust. With this car, it is all original, right down to the paint, so you know exactly what you are getting into. The good stuff: - Runs and drives great. - Very straight body with very little rust. - All the glass is good. - All the trim is there and in good shape. - 2nd owner. - Original Colorado car. - Rare 2-door wagon! The bad stuff: - Needs rust repair behind rear wheels and in driver’s floor pan - Needs a new right front fender. - Needs a heater core and door seals to be a daily driver. - Has some minor dents that need removed. Please ask if there are any other questions you have or any other things you would like to see pictures of. I want you to be confident bidding on this rare classic! There is no reserve, only a starting bid. So if you are the high bidder, you will get the car! This vehicle is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if the vehicle sells. Buyer is responsible for shipping/pickup and related expenses. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction or vehicle will be re-listed and negative feedback will be left.
