For Sale is a late 1966 or early 1967 Honda 305 Dream that I have been working on restoring for the past 6 years. This bike was taken apart and the frame was stripped and repainted. What has been completed: Frame repainted New Firestone tires from Coker Tires NOS front headlamp (fairly rare and expensive!) Carburator rebuilt with NOS parts Fuel petcock valve rebuilt with NOS parts New NOS handgrips and foot pegs New NOS gas tank cap New battery What is still original to the bike (to the best of my knowledge) Seat (the HONDA logo is very faded but still visible) Tank badges are orignal and have some cracking I beleive the exhaust pipes are original to the bike. The left pipe has some tarnishing from what looks like baterry acid spill (see picture) I beleive he rims are original and are in very good condition with very minor pitting or rust. The speedometer and odometer work correctly. The bike starts easily on the first or second kick. The electric starter works also. If you let the bike sit for several weeks, the clutch plates stick a little and you will need to work the clutch level several times to get the clutch to work. I have read that this is fairly common but the ultimate solution will be to rebuild the clutch. Finally, I think the ignition coil is a little weak to the left cylinder as the left spark plug, when new, will fire and run but will eventually fowl. I have an NOS Hanshin after market ignition coil that I just haven't gotten the time to install. The serial number on the engine is CA77E-1029719 and the serial number on the frame is CA78 1029623. I am told that it was common during this period for the engine and frame serial numbers to not match. A few spare parts that I will include: Hanshin Ignition Coil, a few extra NGK spark plugs, the original gas cap and condensor, a spare clutch and throttle cable, and a copy of a Honda service manual.
