ATTENTION-PLEASE READ THIS...This car has been stored INSIDE a building for the past 10 years FREE of the elements up until the last 2 months. The car was hauled out of the building with a loader and taken to where it is now....which is really soft sand. We had planned on getting a flatbed today and moving it up to the driveway but a big rainstorm came in. I had planned on cleaning it up....putting a battery in and taking the top down...opening the trunk (have not found keys yet) and relisting it. I received several rather NASTY emails from ebayers saying it was probably all rotted out underneath etc because of where it is sitting. Actually to exact CONTRARY...there is NOT RUST underneath...PERIOD. The pans, trunk, frame, and rockers are all SOLID. Please understand this when bidding. The seats are not ripped or torn...just need a good cleaning. The old carpet was taken out and it needs new carpet. Several of the door panels have come loose on the bottom part. The motor is the original and I think a 283. I think if I am reading the body tag info correctly..the original factory color was satin silver poly...which is pretty cool with the red interior. There is bubbling rust on the drivers side on the bottom of the door......and some on the right side bottom edge of the hood. There is no rust on the right side of the car or in the back. The car only has 81,000 original miles. The owner has the ignition key but has not found the trunk key yet (does have it) that is why there are no pics of the trunk. The motor has been started off and on and let to idle while it was in storage up until the past 2 years or so. I don't know what more I can tell you guys...this car is NOT a rust bucket....it was actually TOTALLY restored about 10 years ago and has basically been neglected for the past 10. It will NOT take a whole lot of work to get this car back on the road. The paint actully still looks NICE AND TIGHT and SHINEY on the sides and back.
