I have bought and sold many personal cars on ebay, but this time I have the pleasure of offering this fantastic Corvette for a long time family friend. The car was purchased new and is a one owner, adult owned, unbelievably well kept car. This is NOT a static collector vehicle that has never been driven at all which could prove finicky if you want to actually enjoy driving it. Rather, it has been well maintained, carefully driven and enjoyed purely as an extra pleasure only car during the summer months. This particular auto has been kept in a heated garage and was driven very limited miles every summer since new. It has NOT been driven in salt or winter conditions. There are only 9,886 total miles to date with a few more possibly added over the next few weeks (It is summer and this car is a fabulous driver!) This car has never been abused or raced and is a near perfect unmolested factory original example of this rare and special Z06 model. Fly in, pamper yourself and drive this car home ANYWHERE. If you know Corvettes, you know the Z06 was a very special car in 2002. It was considered the quickest production Corvette built to date and it included the High Output Aluminum 5.7 Liter LS6 405HP Sequential Fuel Injection Engine, including Lighter Sodium Filled Valves, Higher Compression, More Aggressive Cam Phasing, Revised Pistons and Block, Etc. While the official power rating is 405hp, many dyno tests have shown that the engine was likely under rated by GM and is actually closer to 425HP. The drive-train also includes a unique M12 6 Speed Manual Transmission, Active Handling, Traction Control, 4 Wheel Independent Suspension, Speed Sensitive Steering, Front and Rear Anti-lock Disc Brakes and a Limited Slip High Performance Differential. NOTABLE Z06 SPECIFIC FACTS: Uprated Suspension with Z06 Unique Shock Calibrations, Larger Stabilizer Bar, Stiffer Rear Spring and Revised Camber, Revised Gearing Ratios, Functional Front and Rear Cooling Ducts, as well as many "Z06 only" weight saving features such as Thinner Window Glass, Titanium Exhaust replacing Stainless (unheard of in ANY auto other than the McLaren F1 supercar at the time), Non-EMT Tires, Reduced Sound Proofing, Fixed Rear Radio Aerial and even a Lighter Battery. Also included is Z06 Seat Embroidery and Z06 Side Badging along with a unique Z06 Instrument Panel with 6500 RPM Redline. Special Flat Underside Panels help achieve a low 0.29 Drag Coefficient. The Z06 Brake Calipers are distinctive RED with Aluminum Corvette Lettering and the Z06 even utilizes unique brake pads. As compared to the standard model, the Z06 uses Light Weight and Wider 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 Wheels with unique coloring. Even with incredible performance though, this is a very comfortable car to drive short or long distance with a Bose AM/FM/CD Sound System, Heads Up Display, Analog Cluster w/Driver Info Center, Cruise, Intermittent Wipers, Tilt Leather Steering Wheel, Power Driver Seat, Power Locks and Windows, Electric Rear Defogger, Etc. The interior is spectacular in Deep Rich Charcoal Leather with Torch Red Leather inserts, including perfect Z06 red stitching on the headrests. The exterior includes excellent condition factory TORCH RED paint perfectly complimented by the beautiful darker gray original aluminum Corvette Z06 Wheels with NO curb rash and very good condition original tires. Other features are a Remote Fuel Door Release, Optional Body Side Moldings, Electrochromic Mirrors and Remote Deck Lid. Speaking of the deck lid, it opens to reveal a REAL trunk that will hold several luggage pieces and/or your golf clubs with ease. Or use it to haul home trophies from your local car show or bring home the groceries. Also included, but not shown, is a high end Speed Lingerie color matched bra for the front of the car. This is a really special unit that does not require metal tabs, screws or any modifications to the car whatsoever. It also does not leave marks on the car. It has been carefully used to ensure the front paint on the car has remained in near perfect condition. Better yet, the manufacturer guarantees that it will be "flap free up to 150mph". We will let the new owner decide whether to test that claim! All of this performance AND an EPA fuel rating of 16-22 mpg City and 23-33 mpg Highway (19/28 on the original window sticker) ! ! !
