Classic 1989 Volvo 240 Wagon (245), automatic transmission. Volvo 240 wagons run on and on, are solidly built, have an excellent safety record, and carry all you need to carry. This one has the extra feature of the factory installed rear-facing third seat, so you can fit seven people in it. Starts up without any hesitation in the coldest days of winter, and in summer the A/C works like a charm! The car runs smoothly, and the tires are in great shape with a lot of tread left. There is no apparent rust, though some of the trimwork is gone and there are a couple of dents (see the photos). Radio and cassette player work well also. Non smoking owner. A classic Volvo. Disclosure of known problems: There is a small "star" in the windshield that has been the same size for two years; there is an oil leak from the oil pressure sending unit (about a $65 repair job); the exhaust pipe has a break and should be replaced; the driver's seat has a rip as shown in photo. One other thing: the odometer stopped in September of 2009, so the actual mileage is probably more like 260,000 -- still a lot of life left in this wagon.
