Vehicle Detail

Vanden Plas Princess 4 litre R - Right Hand Drive Features a Rolls Royce engine with 175 HP. Dual Stromberg Carburetors with electric fuel pump. Body Shell was designed by Pinnanfarina. The manufacturer was considered to be Vanden Plas, or actually "Princess Motor Cars" They were sold in BMC showrooms, along with Austin Healeys.Vanden Plas was absorbed into Jaguar. Full original Workshop Manual included. See excerpts at: http://s680.photobucket.com/albums/vv161/lob32/Vanden%20Plas/ CONDITION This car has not been driven in at least 3 years, The engine was started and run last year by a BMC specialist. The body is in good shape. It was prepared for paint and primed over 5 years ago. The paint is cracking and peeling up on the hood and left side. The chrome on the front bumper is pitted in spots. There are signs of rust on the rear chrome bumper. The paint on the right side looks okay. The front turn signal light on the right hand side is broken. Both the left and right external mirrors are missing. The antenna is broken. See additional photos at:: http://s680.photobucket.com/albums/vv161/lob32/Vanden%20Plas/ The rear driver's side tire is split. The other tires are old and need replacement. Overall, the car is complete and in good shape. It needs TLC and expertise in which I am sorely lacking. I will answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability. I will also take additional pictures per requests. The car has its original pink California title. HISTORY The original owner donated this car to a Charity Foundation. It was acquired by my late husband in 2005. He tinkered with it and drove it around the block sometimes. He passed away in 2008. Now that the estate has been settled, I am selling the car as a whole for either a restoration project or for parts. My goal is to see it go to someone who will "adopt" this vehicle and keep it out of the scrap yard.
