1965 Custom C10 Fleetside Pickup Truck Engine/ Transmission: The truck features a strong Chevrolet 350 ci. four bolt main engine that uses an edelbrock 750 carb and a dual plane edelbrock manifold with endure-shine finish. It has a Mallory distributor that is equipped with a complete Mallory electronic ignition system. The engines exhaust is collected via long tube headers and is then guided into dual 16” glasspacks that give the truck an aggressive tone. The motor is cooled via a 16” electric fan. The engine is mated to a fully automatic turbo 350 transmission. Drivetrain/ Suspension: This C-10 has power steering with a brand new gearbox, and it also has a brand new power steering pump with a billet mount. It has the original 12 bolt rear end that has the original drum brake setup. The front has drum brakes and all four corners have been completely rebuilt with new cylinders and drums. The suspension consists of a CPP lowering kit, and it has been lowered a total of 4” in the front and 3” in the back. The lowering kit included a new adjustable panhard bar and front and rear sway bars to keep body roll to a minimum. The wheels and tires are 18” chrome plated steel that are approximately five years old. The chrome is just now beginning to show some light oxidation but overall the wheels are still in great shape. The tires are in excellent condition and there is 95% of the tread left. Interior: The interior was just redone in a custom upholstery shop that covered all of the panels and seats in vinyl that looks like leather. The seats came out of a 1970’s Monte-Carlo and are considered very rare due to the fact that they swivel which allows easy entry and exit out of the truck. The carpet is in excellent shape along with all of the freshly upholstered interior panels. The sound system includes a brand new am/fm cd player with four speakers. The center console is a one off handmade fiberglass console that is covered in vinyl and encloses a new B&M shifter. Paint/ Body: The paint on the truck was sprayed less than six months ago, and the color is off of a Lexus that is called “Imola” red. All of the emblems have been shaved off along with the body moldings. Even the original gas tank filler was shaved in order to add to the clean custom look of the truck. The full custom wood bed is constructed of tongue and groove red cedar and was stained dark in order to blend with the paint scheme. The fuel cell in the back is a black powdercoated 21 gallon unit that includes a sending unit and safety foam.
