Up for sale here is a near flawless 1998 BMW M Roadster. I bought it 3 years ago from the original owners at 34,800 miles. It has had no paintwork and has had no accident repairs. Paint is near perfect. Typically, the M emblem, near taillights, will show sun exposure by fading out at red stripe; mine is still dark as new. Garage kept. There are 3-4 small dings that could be pulled out if someone wanted to, though not noticable. The front has a dozen or so small chips that I touched up with a small tip swab, looks good. The top is original and is in very good condit, ion. The back window is clear but does have the usual small scratches in the fold area. The interior is for all purposes at least excellent with the only issue being a little wear on drivers seat side bolster-(see picture). Dash/doors/console/carpet/glass - excellent. Non-smoker owners. The car still has original floormats which look near new. This gives an idea on car's condition. The trunk is very clean with no stains. The engine compartment is clean but has not had the usual dealer armor all shine up. Clean with no leaks. Car starts/runs/drives/turns/stops perfect with no issues whatsoever. None. All options work as they should. HVAC works perfect. All tools and accessories are present. I have changed oil 3 times with synthetic and changed air filter once. I pull plugs once a year to inspect, all good. Car has not had any OBD faults while I have owned it. It wears Michelin Pilot Sports half gone or less. I replaced stock 10 speaker stereo with a JVC head unit that has an IPOD hook-up. It also has amber light that matches the cars interior dash light hue. I also replaced 4 of the speakers that needed it. It now sounds infinitely better than stock. All four wheels have a little road rash. Nothing major, just disclosure. Everything on car is excellent with the exception of the seat rails. They allow about a 1/4" of travel under hard accelerating and braking. This is a very common issue with all Z3's. The rails can be replaced for a couple hundred or a DYI fix for $20 and a couple of hours. It hasn't really bothered me, I just want buyer informed. I don't think most sellers would mention something as trivial,but I don't want anything unexpected when buyer picks up the car. I have been on the other end at times and really hated being misled. This car will not disappoint. I have 2 keys with working fobs and owners packet that has books and window stickers. Car come with a wind deflector that goes between roll bars. Also,a Noah car cover is included as is the factory boot cover that no one ever uses. I am located 1 hour west of Louisville,Ky. I will pick up at airport there or Evansville. I will deliver within 100 miles. I try to work out these type details if asked before end of sale. Title in hand. Will take cashiers check from large bank only.
