It's time to rotate the inventory. Up for sale is a Vintage 1940 Ford Coupe Stock Car ILLINOIS BARN FIND FOUND AND RESTORED The car is powered by a fresh .30 over 1953 8ba Flathead with 1 new Stromberg 97 carb. The 3 Speed Top Loader Trans has been rebuilt with a new clutch setup and has a Franklin Quick Change Rear End. New brakes and wheel cylinders are installed along with power steering This car has a history of race wins on tracks back east ( check out Benny Hofer on Google ) I have driven this car at the March Meet in Bakersfield at Famoso Raceway and at El Mirage Dry Lake S.C.T.A. races May 15-16 where we did some photo shoots. It is a lot of fun to drive and get's a lot of attention. The set-up on the car handles great. It could use some newer tires on the rear before I take it to Perris Raceway 1/2 mile dirt track for some exhibition laps. I'm 6'6" and the car is set up for someone that is a bit shorter. I don't want to cut the original roll cage to fit myself as it would take away from the originality of the car. I have this car registered and insured in California with a clear title and could be made street legal if someone wanted. The parts alone are worth what my reserve is.
