Vehicle Detail

GO to http://s828.photobucket.com/albums/zz209/westsolloway/Utility/?start=all to see dozens of additional photos. Up for sale is my 1997 Ford F-250 Utility Body work truck. I am currently in the process of liquidating all my toys, utility vehicles, and anything else that I don't use regularly to make room for new toys. This truck features: Aluminum Utility body. Six individual locking tool boxes. Aluminum roof mounted ladder racks Interior space to fit 4' X 8' material Auto treans w/ overdrive OEM remanufactured engine w/ less than 30k on it. (Dealer installed) Single locking bar on each side that allow all tool boxes to be locked w/ a single padlock. Tires have less than 3000 miles on them. Virtually new. I have had this truck since 2006 and have used it as my portable tool box. I own a self storage facility and purchased this truck for my maintainance guy to go between my three stores for maintainance. I recently hired a new maintainance guy and he has his own truck and tools so I have no further use for this one. It has always been very well maintained. Whatever it needed it got. RegularServiced regularly by Valley Automotive in Matamoras PA. They have all the sevice history for the entire time I have owned it. My mechanic, Kim Byron, can be reached at 570-491-4172 if you have any questions about the mechanical condition of this truck. Whatever it ever needed it got immediately. This truck sits for months at a time with no use and she will start first turn of the key every time, without fail. The truck needs absolutely nothing and is ready to go to work for you the day you pick it up. The rear doors were extended by the previous owner to accept a 4X8 sheet of material. I dont know why Chevy or whoever made the body of this thing like 3" too short to do it from the factory, but the previous owner did some nice work lenghtining the body to handle 4X8 material. a This truck is a joy to drive and handles like a Cadillac. In addition, there are three individual locking tool boxes on each side. Once again the previous owner, in a stroke of genius, mounted a hindged locking bar that locks up all three boxes on each side with one padlock. Sweet. I did not look very close and its too late to call my mechanic right now, but I believe the brakes are also relatively new and I'm also pretty sure it is was recently tuned up. I change oil regularly about every 3k miles which in my case is about annually. My three stores are all within a ten mile circle. So like I said it's more of a tool box with wheels than a truck to us. The ladder racks up top are sweet also. This thing has been a pleasure to own but II just cant justify keeping it around for what little use it has gotten over the past couple of years. Someone is going to get a great deal on an awsome truck. I welcome and suggets anyone interested in it to come out and check it out prior to bidding. It is still registered and insured. As a matter of fact I just used it to go from my house to Matamoras and back to get some stuff from my storage unit. Thats about 180 miles round trip and as usual no problem. If you did not know better you would think you were driving almost a new truck. The previous owner had the engine either rebuilt or replaced with a remanned unit by a Ford dealer. As you can see in the pics and will immediately realize when you drive it, this was no half baked install. It was done perfectly and performs as such. Please come down and drive it for yourself prior to bidding; You will see for yourself just how nice this trruck really is. She runs perfectly. The automatic w/ overdrive trans adds to great milage. all in all shes a tough truck to beat. The only problem I see with it, other than the stereo, is she needs a bath bad. I will take this truck over to the local car wash (all done by had) and have her thourouly ashed and polished. I'll post the finished pics when done tommorow. As to the winner, payment in full is expected within 5 days of conclusion of auction. I will be happy to store it free of charge for up to 30 days so long as I am paid as agreed. I accept all kinds of payments but understand in advance the truck or title will not be released until payment has been convberted to cash. This includes all forms of payment. Certified checks, money orders, personalk checks, what have you. I live within ten minutes of virtually every bank that does business in the united states so we can go together to whatever bank the funds are drawn on to get cash. If you do have a check that we cannot find a branch for, it will need to be depoosited and allow enough time be assure the funds have irriversably cleared. This can take as long as two weeks. So scammers please dont waste your time on this one and move on. I've been burned before and it's not going to happen again. I am a very honest buyer / seller here on eBay and have no patience for those of little character. To the rest of you; Good luck and happy bidding. as I said above, someone is going to be very happy with their new purchase. On May-24-10 at 17:47:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Hey there fellow eBayers. I am posting this revision to give the answers to general questions concerning all my auctions. I am typing it up in Word and am going to copy / paste it into every auction I currently have listed. I am selling virtually all my old toys to make room for new ones. I absolutely love classic and unusual autos, bike, airplanes etc. So every couple years I have to liquidate what I accumulated to make room for more. I seriously recommend dropping by and taking whatever I have for a test ride and thorough inspection. A couple years ago I finally built my dream shop so your welcome to bring your mechanic, knowledgeable friend or significant other with you and your welcome to put whatever it is your interested in up on the lift and go through it till your hearts content. I am not trying to hide anything. I take great pains to point out everything I can find wrong with whatever I’m selling but it’s always possible I may miss something that may be important to you. If you cant make it down but need a better photo of something or what me to look closer at something in particular, just drop me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to do it. I am a stay at home dad to a wonderful baby boy, 25 months old, so I am available from about 7:00 AM till about 7:00 PM just about everyday. So if anyone wants to come see anything, all I ask is a call about 1 hour B4 you plan to be here. This will give me enough time to put away whatever I may be doing and be there to meet you. I can be reached at home at 973-949-4803 or my cell at 570-228-1603 or west@solloway.name Look forward to hearing from you. Don’t bother calling ahead of time to schedule a day and time. I do things on the fly and only need the hour heads up. I listred a bunch this Saturday and Sunday but I still have a lot more I will be listing shortly including but not limited to a 93 Porsche 944 (very nice) a 72 Chevy Chevelle Big Block SS Clone that is a rotisserie nut and bolt recreation. Every part on her is either new, refurbished or rebuilt. She is the absolute best I can do and she will be listed soon. I also bought out a bankrupt local hardware store primarily because I wanted the hardware Isle (fasteners) I wound up with tons of stuff I will never use and will be selling all for pennies on the dollar some day very soon. Long story short, I will upload group photos of everything you can expect to see listed soon at :http://s828.photobucket.com/albums/zz209/westsolloway/MyStuff/ so stop by and check it out. I am a very honest seller and my feedback proves that. I have also been the victim of a scammer with a fraud bank check. This does not mean I wont accept bank checks for payment. What it does mean is if you plan on paying with anything other than hard cash (which we will take to my bank to deposit that day anyway to check for bogus), I will not release the title or item until the instrument has cleared, irreversibly. I have a branch of just about every bank within a ten minute ride from my home. So if you do bring a check, make sure the bank in question is close and open when you get here because we will be going there to cash it. In the even this is not feasible, I will deposit the item and we will allow it to clear, for two weeks, just to be certain it does not come back to bit me. I will be happy to store your item free of charge for up to thirty days while we wait for funds. I still must receive this payment within five days of close of auction. So if you are a scammer you may want to move on to another auction. In closing, Id like to thank everyone that took the time to check out my auction and I wish everyone good luck and happy bidding. On May-28-10 at 17:53:51 PDT, seller added the following information: OK, I finally found time to upload the new pics. I had one of my guys spend half a day washing and cleaning this truck. As is the truck was mechanically 100%, now it's just as nice asthetically (Yeah, I bought the vocabulary builder toilet paper). The truck looks great. The interior is almost mint with the exception of a very small hole on the drivers side that was my fault for sitting in it with a screwdriver in my back pocket, thankyou very much. And there is and even smaller slice in the dash. Looks like a utility knife cut. No matter, I took close ups of both defects. Check out the pics at; http://s828.photobucket.com/albums/zz209/westsolloway/Utility1/ As for the body, the whole utility body is aluminum so it just has some paint chips. The bumper, locking bars, and the angle iron used for the door extention are all steel, thus the surface rust. You put a kid to work on this with a wire brush and a can of white spray paint for a day and you will have a mint truck. There is no body damage, no corrosion issues, nothing but a little surface rust that will sand right off in a heart beat. This is a $5000-$6,000 truck all day long. It has a virtually brand new engine that was proffesionally installed (You'd never know the work was done if you were not told) not like most of those rebuilder monkeys out there that basically butcher everything in their way while doing the removal and install. Check the pics, this was a class A job and drives like it. I'm not kidding. She drives like new. This bidding is a joke for this truck. PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE, anyone seriously looking to own this truck; come down and drive it, throw it up on the lift, check her out top to bottom, front to back. Geez, I'll pull the plugs and we can run compression tests on all 8 cylinders while your here. This thing is as turn key as they come. Drive it home and work the snot out of for many years to come with no worries. Come down. I guarantee you will not be wasting your time. You will not find a finer utility body truck for sale anywhere close to quadrupple the current bidding.
