You are bidding on a 1997 Mercedes SL 500 with 112,000 miles. Mechanically this car is in excellent condition. Runs and drives great. No rattles or shakes, it is a very tight car. The a/c has no problem keeping up with the Texas heat, blows nice and cold. Both soft and hard top are in great condition. The top operation is nice and smooth. Both upper pillar latches recently replaced. The engine is very strong and there is no smoke or oil leaks. The transmission shifts nice, no slippage or jerks and no leaks. Everything on the car is in working condition and works properly (all electrical equipment and options). The rear view mirror is in need of replacement due to discoloration and plastic trim breaking off. The driver seat is showing some wear from getting in and out of the vehicle. The door check on the drivers door is broken. The dash is in nice condition no rips or tears. The stereo and CD system is in nice working condition. The red paint has a nice shine. The clear coat on the left rear Quarter panel right by the trunk has pealed off about the size of a quarter. The front and rear bumper has a few scratches on them. there is a small dent on the left front fender. The tires and wheels are in fair condition. I have listed all the positives and negatives on this car. This car is not perfect, but would not take much to make it that way. For the age of the car the millage is not high and should not deter you in bidding. Like I said mechanically it is in sound condition, but in need of a little cosmetic help, not much.
