Vehicle Detail
I have a black Ford Focus ZX3 for sale by the original owner. This car runs well and smooth! I bought this car at the end of 2003 brand new with only 7 miles on it. I have owned this car for 7 years. The car is paid off and I am the primary owner on the title (Florida). I have currently been living in Atlanta, Georgia for the last 2 years; however, for the first 5 years of ownership I was living in Florida. This car spent a summer in North Virginia in 2009. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN ANY MAJOR ACCIDENTS. Car Equipment includes: Air Conditioning, Dual Front Air Bags, Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Cruise Control, AM/FM Stereo, Multi Compact Disc, Sun Roof, Premium Sound, and Alloy Wheels. Brakes and the rotors were replaced in the summer of 2009 by T and C Auto Repair in Triangle, VA. I bought after market brakes and routers from Autozone. Also, the housing for the thermostat was also replaced in the spring of 2009. This Ford Focus ZX3 also comes with a fully functional sunroof. Usage: Primary and only user of car. I used this car through out my tenure in undergraduate and graduate education. The back seat is clean because I rarely had children or rowdy college students in my car or any other person in my car. For the last 7 years I was mostly a lone rider. Maintenance and Part Replacement: Engine Oil: For the first 5 years the oil was changed, approximately every 3,000 miles, by a dealer. In the sixth year of ownership I began to change the oil myself using plastic ramps purchased from Autozone and other materials. This merchandise can be transferred to the buyer of this vehicle. Tires: The tires are brand new. They are 205/50R-16 91V SL B Falken ZIEX ZE-512. There is currently a warranty on the tires from a vendor called Discount Tire (http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/home.do). If something were to puncture or damage the tires, with the contingency that there is still thread on the wheels, than Discount Tire will repair or replace the tire. If there is no Discount Tire in your neighborhood than Discount Tire provides a credit towards the cost of repairing or replacing the tire- you will just have to submit a claim. Motor mounts: The front motor mounts were replaced in 2007 by the Ford dealership in Tallahassee, FL. Windshield: The windshield is new. The windshield experienced a crack in 2008 and was immediately replaced by Safelite in Decatur, GA. Tint: I'm a Florida girl so I had to get tint on the window or else I would burn up. The front side windows have a 35% tint, The rear side and back windows have a 18% tint. The name of the film is called Platinum Plus Film and I received this service in 2004 at Super Dave Window Tinting in Tallahassee, FL. Catalytic Converter: There is a new after market catalytic converter on this vehicle. It was bought from AutoZone (Maremont/ 5 yr warranty) in the summer of 2009. It was replaced by T & C Auto Repair in Triangle, VA (google search). Misc. Engine part: Over the summer of 2009 I was having a problem with the car and no one could figure out what the problem was, even Ford. In hot weather the car would stall and then 10 minutes later it would start up without a problem. While visiting Old Dominion University in Norfolk,VA I took it to a place called University Car Care (757) 423-1323? and they explained that a hose within the engine had lost its integrity and when during hot weather it would create a suction. This suction would then limit the ability of the engine to "breath", which would explain why the car would stall and then come back on after it was able to cool down. All in all, an engine diagnostic was run on the car and they replaced this engine hose. You will be able to see this part in the engine pictures; it is has silver wrapping over the new hose. If this is not descriptive enough feel free to ask me more questions. THE HAS NEVER STALLED ON ME AFTER THIS PART WAS REPLACED. Radiator hose: There was hair line crack in hose near the radiator. This part was replaced in fall of 2010 by Williamsburg ChevronAddress:? in Decatur, GA (404) 321-3930. The part was ordered from Ford and is not an after market part. Battery: The battery is an after market battery bought from AutoZone. It is a brand new Duralast battery that has a warranty on it. It was bought in the summer of 2009. Interior: Near the CD console, the platinum bezel has flaked of in some places. You can see a description of this in the pictures. Also, the 6 disk CD player has a theft removal piece that you can take with you, so that in the event that someone stole the radio than it would be useless. One clamp on this two clamp piece has been broken. This doesn't interfere with the music but it is a little loose. The floor carpet on the left side of the console on the driver side has come apart somewhat (you can see a description of this on the pictures). I don't know how this happened but it can easily be covered by the Ford floor mats and it will look like its not even there. I am not a smoker! However, other people on the road are. While driving, a cigarette butt was thrown from a car adjacent to me and unfortunately blew into my car, burning me and leaving a small mark on my driver seat. You can see a picture of this in the pictures. Other than what I have explained the car is clean. The carpet on the roof is not coming down and still the same color. All of the original Ford parts are in the car. It is a well maintained car. Exterior: Some unknown people of the years have left their marks on this car. There are three distinctive blemishes on the car. First, on the exterior passenger side there is a dent; it doesn't have a mark but it has been pushed in. Second, also on the exterior passenger side there is 1 inch scratch. Third, on the back door, which some people would call a trunk, there is a dent of 1 inch diameter. For the life of me I have no idea how it got on the car but to be quite honest it resembles a how a gunshot hits steel. I am sure it is not a gun shot. It happened while I was living in Georgia. I have very high trees around my house and alot of SQUIRRELS. My guess is that a squirrel or something dropped on the car leaving a dent. The front bumper has it share of blemishes due to insects hitting it while living in Florida. Also the rear bumper has a few blemishes. I believe that I have explained everything to you. Be informed that I have done my research and I hope that you have as well because I will not be undersold.
