Vehicle Detail

I am selling my Dad’s 1999 Dodge 3500 Laramie SLT dually truck. He was the original owner and bought the truck new in Folsom, CA. He and my mom RV’d full time and used it to pull their travel trailer. It was his pride and joy and the truck has been very well maintained. Now that he’s gone my mom doesn’t want to drive the beast around. It has the Cummin’s 24 valve diesel with a 5 spd. manual transmission. From the factory it came with power windows, power locks, power drivers seat, cruise control, air conditioning, AM/FM Cassette full factory gauges and a trip computer up on the roof. It has cloth seats that are in very good condition, the headliner, carpet and door panels are also in very good condition except for some wear on the drivers side. The dash has been covered almost the entire life of the truck with a matching dash cover and looks very good. We added boost, exhaust temp & differential temperature gauges in the pod on the dash along with a Autometer mechanical low pressure fuel gauge on the column. You can see the red Autometer fuel separator and the steel braided line going from the top of the fuel filter in one of the pictures. When they travelled they stayed away from the snow most of the time, primarily traveling in the west and southwest so there is very little rust underneath and no body cancer anywhere. The truck has the factory driving lights in the front bumper. We upgraded the tail lights and some of the marker lights in the back to LED lights. We also added power adjustable and extending side mirrors. They extend out about 5 or 6 inches on each side and work really well. They are extended in all of the pictures. The truck has factory tinted rear side windows and we had the front door windows tinted also. It has a 3 piece bug deflector on the front of the truck and driver & passenger front door window vent visors. The truck has a custom 3” exhaust system with a chrome stack. It also has an exhaust brake that works really well, I think it is a D-Celerator unit http://www.usgear.cc/dcelerator.htm but I will confirm that as soon as I can. We upgraded to an ATS 3 piece exhaust manifold a few years ago when the stock one cracked, which I guess is pretty common for these things. My Dad thought it helped the turbo spool up quicker. You can find info on the exhaust manifold at this site - http://www.atsdiesel.com/ats2/productdetail/2049302218/Dodge_Exhaust_Manifolds We installed an Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 system on the rear axle, the specs can be seen at this site - http://www.airliftcompany.com/LoadLifter5000.html . It doesn’t have an air pump. We installed two schraeder valves where the second gas tank opening would be on the utility bed, I show them on one of the pictures. He wanted them to be separate in case the load wasn’t balanced he could adjust from side to side. They work really well and the air bags are in good shape, I tried to get them in one of the shots but they are hard to see. The truck has a Knapheide Model 600 Series 696D54J service utility box, the specs can be seen at this site - http://www.knapheide.com/pdfpages/pricepages/servicebody/UBPP2-3.pdf . The body length is 97”, body height 40”, body width 94”, floor width 54” & compartment depth is 20”. The bed has a very sturdy tailgate which is 57" wide and 12" deep. All of the bins lock and the bed is in very nice shape. We had the top “shell” custom built by Top One in Yuba City, CA to fit the Knapheide box. I don’t think they are in business any longer, at least I can’t find them online. The shell is aluminum framed and covered. It has large 57”x16” side opening doors that swing up on each side and then the two rear doors. The rear opening is 43” tall x 48” wide, the hinges are approximately 50” apart. The top of the “shell is approximately 48” above the bed floor and 24” above the top of the service body. All the doors on the “shell” lock also but with a different key than the service body. A new clutch was installed less than 5,000 miles ago. It has had the high pressure fuel pump replaced once a few years ago. The tires and brakes were all replaced recently and probably only have a few thousand miles on them. I just replaced the crank sensor last week. I will list more of the maintenance items when I have a chance. Now for the things I can find wrong with the truck. First it doesn’t have a hitch right now. He used a Pullrite swinging hitch which I have transferred to another truck. I may have a Class III hitch that I can install but for now the truck does not have a hitch. It still has the trailer brake controller in the cab but there is not a trailer plug at the back of the truck right now, the wiring is still there. I will try to get one of those installed also. The body of the truck is in very nice shape and the paint is in good condition. There is a dent on the driver’s side of the front hood which I show in one of the pictures. There is also a dent in the top of the passenger side rear door that I tried to show in another picture. The service body has one small dent about the size of a quarter but I forgot to take a picture of that. The only other thing that I know is wrong with the truck is some kind of problem with the dome & courtesy lights inside the cab. My Dad never figured it out but the lights stay on all of the time. We checked and the switches all seem to be working but the lights won’t turn off. Anyhow he removed the lenses from the two courtesy lights (see the picture) and I don’t know what happened to them. Other than that the main dome light just has the bulb removed but the lense is still there. The other thing is that the aluminum looking thing at the top of the bed with the tan cover in the rear door open picture is a train set, that is not going with the truck. Also the items in the rear bin on the drivers side will not be going with the truck either. All of the bins will be empty except for some wood pieces cut to fit in the bottom of a couple of bins that we used to set tool boxes on top of, thought they might be useful to the buyer. I do have three Napa Gold oil filters and a Fram air filter that will be included with the truck. I also have more pictures of the truck and can take more so ask if you want to see something specifically. EBay only allowed me to upload 24 pictures. The truck has 160,000 miles on it. The door sticker shows it was built in 4/99. VIN #1B7MC336XXJ629215. The GVWR is 10,500 lbs., GAWR front 4500 lbs. & GAWR rear is 7500 lbs. The truck is presently located in Folsom, CA, 95630. The truck can be seen by appointment if you like and I would be able to help set up delivery or shipping if you’re out of the area. Shipping will be at the buyers expense as well as any licensing or fees required by your state. The truck is presently registered in Nevada. I would prefer a cashier's check or money order from your bank but will also accept PayPal as long as the buyer pays the additional fees if any. I have a 100% feedback rating and want to keep it that way. I have described everything accurately and want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. Please ask any additional questions prior to bidding or the close of the auction so I can do my best to get them answered for you. This truck blue books way above the price I am listing it at here. I bought my present truck on EBay and understand this is not a small purchase. Inspections or test drives can be arranged if you like. The truck is also being advertised locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells locally. Thanks and have a great day!
