Up for auction is a car i never use which sits covered in my barn. It is a 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback that looks like the one in the movie "Bullitt" which was painted last summer. It is not a show car but it is a nice driver to go to the cruise ins with and everyone looks(stares) when you go by! When i bought it a few years ago someone had replaced most of the metal in the car, new front end(i believe for a big block), new goodyears (still had the blue on the raised white letters), all new brake system, rebuilt the 289, new dual exhaust system, etc. The interior is nice but i did put a new carpet in it. It has the plaid pieces in the trunk with the jack that was in it and I bought an aftermarket lug wrench. Most of the body trim, emblems, lights, etc. are new. Exhaust tips are stainless and not cheap chrome ones. It has the fold down rear seat and pass thru trunk. Turn signals in hood. A lot of time and work and parts went into this vehicle. I drove it to a couple of cruise ins last summer(but i usually take my 62 vet!). It has disc brakes on the front. What i have learned is that the new brake system needs to be pushed once before stopping(air in lines?). It needs the back up switch on the transmission for back up lights to come on in reverse. The speedometer is not working(not sure but may not be connected from when they put the motor and tranny back in?). The new door panels have not been put on because i do not like the way the driver side rolls up(i will order a new regulator tomorrow and back up switch, which will go with car. There is new duct work for under the dash and heater control cables that need to be put in also. I am sure i have forgotten something so call(812-528-2506), or email early and ask. I also have a 1972( rare) "Olympic Sprint " Mustang with 50,000 miles i might consider selling also. I have a clear Indiana title which is ready to go!
