Vehicle Detail

Where to start... Up for sale is my 1969 Lincoln Mark III, 64,xxx original miles. This car has been sitting in storage since 1994. A good friend of mine bought this car in 1971. The story behind it was that the original owner was a woman who would buy a new car every year and trade it in for a newer model, so he picked it up a year old as the second owner. I can email a picture of the title I hold in hand for proof, but I must title the car to sell it, so it will come with a newer style title due to the years it hasn't been on the road. Before we tried starting the car, we took it to a well respected mechanic to drain all the fuel, oil, antifreeze, etc. out of the car to put in fresh everything. He recommended changing the valve cover gaskets/intake gaskets before start up just to be safe, so we did that as well even though everything looked fine. The car was pre-lubed before start up as well. For the exterior... The car is Silver with a Black top (The original) and black interior. The car was re-painted in the 80's due to the paint wearing off (The car has never been in an accident). The body is straight and the paint shines like a mirror. It does have a scratch along the back passenger quarter about 3 inches long (there is a picture of it), as well as a chip along the top of the trunk lid on the corner driver's side (picture of that as well). It is also missing 2 letters off the trunk where it says 'Continental". Overall, the body and paint is a 9 out of 10, literally the scratch and a couple chips are the only flaws it has. The top is original, in perfect condition besides the end by the trunk is beginning to shrink a little. (A picture of this as well). The interior is immaculate, not one rip. This car was literally only driven as a "date night" car... WAS NOT a daily driver. Interior is a 10 out of 10. The car is equipped with rear defrost, AC, cruise control, tilt steering, AM/FM radio, power windows, power locks, power seats, power truck release, all in operating condition. The only thing wrong with it at all is that the fuel gauge stopped working literally today when I went to put gas in it, it was reading empty... was working up to today. The rear view mirror is missing. At the moment I have not been able to find the trunk key. The headliner and dash are in perfect condition. All the interior lights works as well. The motor is a 460 4-barrel, has all new plugs, cap, wires, gaskets (as mentioned above). Runs perfect. Shifts wonderful. Sounds great and drives like a new car, just the way a Lincoln should. The only thing i could nick-pick about the entire drive train is that the brakes seem like they could use a good bleeding (recommended from mechanic). They feel good to me though. Hope this gives you a good overall look of the car. Please don't hesitate to contact me regarding any questions or whether more pictures are requested. I can be reached personally at (303) 875-5507.
