Vehicle Detail
this car is a tough one to let go of but here goes. The car before the restoration started was a 71,000 mile never tampered with car that had the motor changed early in its life to a correctly dated 302 block. at the time of the block swap all the pertinent original 302 bolt on componenets were transferred over to the new block. In essence, the only thing that is not original to the car is the block. The transmission is the original and has the vin stamped on it and the rear is the original bu coded 373 12 bolt posi that the car was born with.So here is a list of part numbers for the numbers guys..... 1)engine block casting # 3956618 2)alternator (re-built)1100837 3)bell housing 3858403 4) heads 3927186 5) carburator 3923289 list 4053 6) distributor 1111480 7) exhaust manifolds lft 3942527 rt 3932826\ 8) fan 394777 9) 8 inch balancer3947708 10) intake manifold 3932472 11) water pump pulley 3932456DV 12) crank pulley 3956668CG 13) transmission39256660 14) pitman arm3953227 15) master cylinder 5468309 16) water pump (re-built)3927170 Here is a list of the new parts; 1) new chambered exhaust 2) Spiral shocks 3) new stainless brake and fuel lines frt to back 4) every frt end part including all new bushings, ball joints, tie rods, etc. 5) correct new delco battery 6) all weatherstrips 7) new body mounts and bolts 8) new 2 piece rotors and drums 8) new emergency brake kit frt to back 9) all new correct hoses and clamps 10) restored widshield wiper motor 11) new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing 12) new b.f goodrich radials 13) new seat covers and foams (seat backs, bottoms, and tracks blasted and refinished while apart) 14) new headliner and dash pad 15) new door and 1/4 trim panels 16) all emblems and trim except stainless which is original and profesionally polished 17) new headliner 18) all 4 springs which were refinished so they don't rust 19) frt. calipers re-built and new backing plates 20) new bumpers 21) new windshield and back glass here is a summary of the restoration details. The engine is re-built, as is the transmission and rear end. the body and paint is exceptionally perfect and fit and finish is second to none. It is finished in in its original color of garnet red code 52 using PPG product and was clearcoated with 3 coats of clear, wet blocked with 800 grit, and re-cleared with 3 more coats. It was then polished to a mirror-like finish. The underneath is also perfect with no pits on the frame, floor, or control arms. It was done with 3 coats of satin black and again, is flawless. A few options that this car was born with are tinted glass which is the original on the car and real nice, and very rare endura front bumper which really finishes off the frt end in my opinion. Also everything in the car works including reverse lockout, am radio, clutch depress to start, all guages including low fuel light. The clock although is sporadic. the widows roll up and down effortlesly, and the doors shut real nice. I'm sure I left some things out so please ask questions. There will be a 1000.00 non-refundable deposit due immediatly at auctions end via pay-pal....no exceptions, and the balance due within 7 days. My reserve is set way lower that the car can be built for of this caliber but must sell to make room. good luck to all and no dissappointments
