Vehicle Detail

FOR THE MOST PART THIS WOULD NOT BE A CONCERN OF SOMEONE BUYING A CAR EXCEPT IT PUTS ME IN A BAD LIGHT FOR NO GOOD REASON SO I EXPLAIN. UNFORTUNATELY A BIDDER OUTSIDE THE USA BID ON A SET OF MY VACUUM TUBES AND I TRIED TO BE NICE AND SEND THEM TO HIM ALTHOUGH MY AUCTIONS CLEARLY SAY NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS. HE CLAIMED ONE OF THE TUBES TO BE BAD I TOLD HIM TO SEND THEM BACK AND I WOULD TEST THEM (WHICH I DID BEFORE I SENT THEM TO HIM AND THEY WERE FINE) WELL I GOT THEM BACK AND THEY WERE STILL FINE. I GIVE THE GUY A FULL REFUND ANYWAY AND HE LEAVES ME NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. THE TUBES ARE UP ON YOUTUBE.COM JUST SEARCH 300B TUBE TEST 1 AS WELL AS 300B TUBE TEST 2 AND YOU WILL SEE THEY WERE BOTH FINE. AMAZING HOW THE BAY WORKS. SORRY FOR WASTING YOUR TIME WITH THIS BUT I FELT I NEEDED TO DO THIS SO PEOPLE WOULD FEEL COMFORTABLE BIDDING. I have to many projects. I have this 1989 Corvette, a 1989 V12 Jaguar XJS and a Harley Davidson Aermacchi 350 Racer. All are in great shape but are at the "lets take them to the next step" phase and I can not take all 3 of them there so I will take one car and the bike. Both cars are up for auction and the first one to sell means I keep the other. With that said you are bidding on a 1989 Chevrolet Corvette Targa Top Coupe. Please take note that the car is on blocks in the pictures shown because I am in the middle of replacing all of her fluids for the start of the summer season. The fluid you see on the floor is from a little slippage during the transmission pan removal, which if any of you have tackled this task, is not a clean or easy procedure. The car has several speacial options from the factory and they are as follows Bronze Metalic Paint Engine Block Heater High Preformance Rear End The Glass Is Shaded Bronze Like The Paint Rest will be uploaded shortly As long as I have owned this car it has received high test Sunoco gas and she gets and estimated 16 miles to the gallon depending on how you drive her :-). You can get in this car at any time and drive it anywhere no matter how far and I guarantee that. The car is an EXCELLENT DAILY DRIVER and it could be MUCH more if you wanted it to be. The car has been driven at least 1 day out of every week I have owned it so I have not driven it much since I have owned it (about 1.5K miles) but she has not just sat in a garage either. Story On Purchase: I bought the car a year ago from the cousin of a good friend. The good friend owned the car for years and put it up for sale 3 years ago and I wanted to buy it then but knew I was to busy so I passed. He sold it to his cousin in PA and then a year and a half or so later the cousin put it up for sale due to money issues and the friend called me and i jumped rethinking that I was not really as busy as I thought I was previously and I turned out to be incorrect regarding how busy I am. I have had it ever since and it has always been garage kept with me, the cousin and the good friend and I think that takes it back about 6 or 7 years and maybe longer but I can not remeber exactly how long my friend owed it but I have a call into him. In general the car has not seen rain in about 6 or 7 years. Mechanical: I have done the following to the car since ownership. 1. Changed the oil every 3 months as I have never driven the car enough to add enough mileage to it that would trigger and oil change. I have changed the oil filter every time I have changed the oil. 2. Changed the transmission oil every year that I have owned it. The first time I changed it I pull the pan off the transmission and installed a new transmission filter and gasket. 3. Changed the differential oil every year that I have owned it with all the proper additives put back in at refill. 4. Changed the brake fuel every year that I have owed it. 5. Changed the power steering fluid every year that I have owed it. 6. Flushed the radiator every year I have owed it. 7. Replaced all hoses at the same time I replaced the radiator. 8. Replaced all fan belts when I replaced the radiator. 9. Replaced all 4 shocks on the car 4 months ago. 10. Replaced the spark plugs 4 months ago. 11. Install new CD Player. 12. The car has ZERO electrical problems. 13. Changed the air filter 4 months ago. 14. Changed the wipers 4 months ago. 15. Changed every blub. 16. Changes all engine breathing filters and valves. 17. New power radio antenna 1 week old. 18. New cruise control unit 1 week old. Cosmetics: The car has a saddle leather interior and saddle leather looks like a saddle. It gets character lines in it and I like that. The driver seat needs to be recovered. The passenger can remain. On the das there are no cracks on anything (dash top or face). The carpets are original and in pretty good shape and look really good. The paint is in really noce condition. Not perfect but the car shows real well from 5 feet or 50 feet in my opinion but see the pics. There is no rust on this car or its frame. This car will not disappoint you. Modifications: 1. Removed the screens in the MAP to add 5 HP. 2. Installed high performance K&N air filter to add 3 HP. 3. Installed air smoothing incert on the throttle body to add 8 HP. Total mods increase HP by 16 HP.
