1981 VW rabbit pickup. Has some rust but runs good. It has a 1.6 L diesel WITH A TURBO!! This is not the original engine. The engine was rebuilt by a perfomance diesel mechanic approx. 5,000 miles ago. Complete rebuild bottom to top. Heavier clutch put in. There is a 5 speed transmission in this truck. They also put an exhaust pressure gauge and boost gauge in. It has good PA inspection til 9-2010. I have over $2000 in this engine. Now for the problems - 1. It does leak a little oil. IT looks like it is coming from the valve cover gasket 2. It is NOT a show truck the bed is rusted thro at places and it does have some rust. 3. The dash is cracked - the radio doesn't work 4. The fan temp. control isn't connected and the defrost lever is broken. It has no a/c 5. Both door latches act a little funny but work. I have run this truck day after day and left it sit for two weeks then ran it. It always started and ran good regardless. I drive a company vehicle to work and don't have any need for 4 vehicles so i decided to part with this. Truck is being SOLD AS IS. thanks
