I am selling a 3-owner 1974 Thing originally purchased in Pasadena CA, then went to Northern Idaho 10 plus years later and lived there for many years. It has been in Colorado the past 3 years when it was purchased from the Idaho owner. No rust. The Idaho owner rebuilt the engine at about 70,000 miles. I replaced the original speedometer with about 80,000 miles on it. The replacement speedo shows 61,000 miles. I estimate total vehicle miles at 85,000. It also has a new paint job, windshield, carburetor, battery, fuel pump, hoses, belts and other miscellaneous items. It starts immmediately and runs great--looks great. Everything works, except the emergency brake. I have had the handle repaired and it came disconnected again. I take it everywhere in the mountains. I have taken it on two 600 mile roundtrips to New Mexico recently. 28 mpg. Most items like the top are either new or in excellent condition.
