Get Vendio Gallery - Now FREE! 1983 HONDA GOLDWING STANDARD I bought this bike from a younger man who was starting a family. He had it for about 5 years. It was sitting in his garage. The plastic was in pretty weathered shape and I had a very nice set of plastic from a 1982 Aspencade - so while I was repairing the bike, I swapped out the all the painted parts. They were in excellent condition. Overall a very nice riding and running bike. I used it for a short time as my own. It starts immediately, runs great and with the exception of a few cosmetic flaws, it is a clean nice looking bike. Gets great gas mileage - about 40MPG. When I bought it I did the following: I replaced the front and rear brakes - bled both systems.Changed the oilChanged the timing beltsReplaced the fork seals and fork oil Replaced the spark plugsCleaned and synchronized the carburetors, replaced the fuel filter. Replaced the air filterChanged the differential oilInstalled brand new starter (old one had a dead spot - probably from sitting)New GripsNew MirrorsNew Battery I added the following chrome parts: New chrome kickstandCaliper CoversManifold CoversThis is not a perfect bike but runs real smooth, oil change has been done, carbs cleaned and synchronized. Tires are in excellent shape. Previous owner told me he had changed them a year to two before I got the bike. There is lots of tread left. Seat had a tear and repair wasn't all that great, but since I sell seat covers - there is one on order for this bike. I will give it to the buyer. One last note- the bike does not have crash guards nor a passenger rail. It was not on the cycle when I bought it. Treated right - this Gold Wing will last years to come. All the critical maintenance work has been done and with oil changes and clean gasoline there should be no problems. ************************************************** Inspection: You are welcome to come and inspect the motorcycle.
