Vehicle Detail

Listed here is a 1950 Dodge D116B2 one ton pickup in restoreable condition. The battery is shot, but it does start and run with a jump. I bought this pickup some twenty years ago from a nearby farmer and put in a new clutch and brake slave cylinder components and master brake components at that time. I used it to do yard work and occasionally drove it to work. The only features it has is a original, non-working AM radio and add on turn signals. The corner windows are ok with no cracks at the time of this listing. All the other windows need replacing due to cracks or layer seperation. The seat needs reupholstering. In short, this truck needs COMPLETE restoration. It is what it is. It has the usual rust found in these old trucks with the floor showing surface rust, but seemingly solid. The wood floor in the box is intact, but weakening in spots. It has the wrong radiator in it at this time. But, the original radiator will go with it. It is a four speed with original 218 Cubic inch engine. The roof looks as if someone sat on it at one time and dented it and then the dent was popped out, leaving those pesky dent wrinkles. Nothing serious. It has been sitting for about six years, so the brakes quit working in that time. But, like I said, all I did was prime the carb, used jumper cables and it took right off. The vacuum advance may be non-working also as when I accellerated, it began to bog down and back-fire a bit. But, it ran enough to drive on and off the trailer that hauled it to it's latest destination. The neat thing I like about this truck is it has a box proportionate to keep this truck looking like a pickup, but still it's a one ton. Most one ton trucks I've seen this vintage had the nine foot boxes. This box measures out at around 7 1/2 feet long. The miles I listed are incorrect as I cannot varify the original mileage. This truck has NO WARRANTY implied. It is what it is. It's sixty years old and looks every bit the age of a used vehicle of that vintage. Look at all the pictures and ask questions. I'll do my best to answer them. The truck is 42 miles from where I am, so I can't just run out and look it over as you may like me to. Bid to win. There is a NON-REFUNDABLE $500.00 deposit due at the end of the auction with THE BALANCE DUE WITHIN SEVEN DAYS OF THE END OF THE AUCTION. BUYER MUST PICK UP VEHICLE WITHIN THIRTY DAYS OF MY RECIEVING FULL PAYMENT. I ONLY ACCEPT BIDS FROM WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL 48 STATES AND CANADA. SALE IS IN U.S. DOLLARS ONLY. I ACCEPT PAYPAL OR CASHIERS CHECK.
