Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a numbers matching 1969 Dodge Charger RT. The reserve on this Real RT has been lowered and can now be purchased for well below market price. Vehicle has the original 440 HP engine and is a factory A/C car. The transmission is the numbers matching 727 automatic and the rear end is the original 8 3/4. The odometer reads 37,814 but I am sure it should be 137,814. The engine has just been professionally rebuilt and has less than 100 miles on it. The engine was bored and honed and has new camshaft, lifters, pistons, hardened seats, guides, double row timing chain, rod bearings, main bearings, gaskets, fuel pump, water pump, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, oil, filter, and much more. It also has the factory windage tray. A brand new Mopar Performance ignition system was also installed. Vehicle is equipped with a 4 barrel carburetor, new antifreeze, polished valve covers, and a chrome air breather. When the engine was pulled out, the engine compartment was completely stripped and refinished. We used paint stripper and got rid of the old paint, sanded down the metal, primed, sealed and painted it. Basecoat/clearcoat was used. It looks outstanding. There were not any rust issues with the engine compartment. There was also a brand new starter installed and the engine fires up on command and sounds great. It is also equipped with headers and a brand new dual exhaust system. This is one really mean sounding Charger! The body is in great condition and is solid! There was a brand new trunk pan installed and the body was stripped down to bare metal. Fenders, doors, trunk lid and hood were all removed during this process. Each panel was stripped and repaired separately to the laser straight finish you now see in the pictures. The jambs were properly prepped and refinished. All of the panels were in great shape and I have the pictures to prove it. I will send them to bonafide interested parties. There was not and are not any rust issues with this car, period! This is not one of those throw it together and who cares what it looks like cars. There are literally hundreds of man hours that have been put into the body alone. The panels line up very well and the pictures show that the body is super straight as mentioned above. The body was then epoxy primed and primer filled. The wetsand process was painstakingly arduous but necessary. After the primer was wetsanded, the vehicle was sealed and refinished. The refinish process included using the basecoat/clearcoat system and painting the vehicle back to its original color of R6. The car was then wetsanded with 2000 grit wetsand paper, buffed, and polished to the shine that you now see in the pictures. This is as close to a showroom finish that you are going to get. Just look at the reflection in the paint when you view the pictures. The pictures don't do the finish justice. It even looks better in person! The underside of the car looks great. The pictures show solid frame rails, torsion boxes, and floors. However, for some reason in the past, the front passenger floor has been patched. You will not be disappointed with the appearance of this car. It also sports a black vinyl top. The front suspension has been redone. New ball joints, inner tie rods, outer tie rods, adjusting sleeves, and idler arm were installed. The front end was then aligned and the wheels balanced. The vehicle is equipped with power steering, power brakes (4 wheel drum), and has a new master cylinder. The rims are 14 inch Cragars with 215/60/14 tires on the front and 275/60/14 tires on the rear. Tires are still in acceptable condition and are BF Goodrich. The chrome bumpers are in excellent condition and so is the grille. The factory hideaway headlights work. All of the windows go up and down properly. The interior has black bucket seats, center console, good rear seat, and door panels. Dash pad is presentable and so is the headliner. There are not any rips or tears in the seats and the buckets have headrests. This is a console shift car with woodgrain, however the woodgrain is a little worn. The carpet is nice. Terms are as follows: $2000.00 downpayment due within 72 hours of the end of the auction. Balance is then due within 7 days of auctions end. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, certified bank check, money orders, or wire transfer. All funds must clear the bank before vehicle will be released. There are not any warranties either expressed or implied and the vehicle is being sold as is, where is. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. Vehicle can be stored at our place free of charge for up to 2 weeks as long as it is paid in full. We have a heated building that the car currently resides in that is protected by a security alarm system. I reserve the right to end the auction early for any reason. I will not reveal the reserve price but can tell you that reserve is set well below market value. I just sold another 69 Charger that needed refinished and it sold for over 18k. It wasn't even an RT. This is a real bargain for where the reserve is set. If you have any questions feel free to email or call 419-296-9073 and ask for Tim. Do not let this one pass you by. Vehicle still has the fender tag and it is properly attached. I will sell to overseas bidders. There is also a freshly rebuilt 440-6 pack engine for sale separate from this auction. It is date coded for a 1971 Car. Thanks for your interest in this Stunning Charger.
