Vehicle Detail
1970 Volkswagen Bus Type II Transporter/Kombi. The engine is a stock 1600cc, fully rebuilt approximately 300 miles ago with german bearings and including new dual port heads, pistons/cylinders, camshaft, lifters, and carburetor. The case is not the original for the bus but is a more recent vintage Mexican universal type. Has factory correct thermostat system and fan shroud vanes (often lost/removed over the years on many of these air cooled engines). Was given first break-in oil change and tune up at 100 miles. 4 speed manual tranny with new clutch shifts smooth. All 4 tires are in good condition with plenty of tread life. The inside is in overall decent condition with a newer head liner and front seat covers. All original glass/windows in great condition. The rear flooring is bamboo hardwood. Wood paneling on walls is in moderate condition and could use updating if buyer desires or left as is. Is on all sides except over sliding door at this time. The original gauges have been replaced with custom ones, however, the fuel gauge does not accurately register and would need the tank sender replaced to one of the correct resistance. Recently repainted its original green and pearl white. The body is generally pretty straight with some minor chips and door dings; as you probably can see from the pictures but nothing too bad. This is a great looking bus and gets many complements on the road. I have an original rear seat that would require recovering as well as two buckets that need recovered as well that I will include. I require a Non Refundable $500.00 deposit via Pay Pal. I've described as best I can and hope the pics tell the rest. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding. Ask any questions.
